Good morning, the 'well needed' resurfacing works have finally made their way up near the salon, they say the main road through will be closed between 9.30-3.30,
open with adverse camber, around these times. There are diversions in place, but at some point access to the car park at the front of the salon will be restricted (they seem to change the goal posts hourly🙄)
my mapping isn't the best 🫣 but here is 2 ways of getting to the top road without coming along the closed main road. You may be able to park on the hill at the top of ridgway or whitehall. Please leave plenty of time for your appointment. 🥰

Good morning good morning! Just to let our clients know, scot lane has (as far as i know) been closed off 9.30 till 3.30 but then opens with a temporary road surface. There are diversions in place to follow.
Access to blackrod is still open from the brew near the cherry tree or round the back roads of aspull, past the balcarres and goose and gander 😊

We are opening up entries to the wider community and now have been given locations to display such entries around our lovely little Blackrod!

P.S. How to make a
Simple Scarecrow for BSF'25 😉

So, a really good starting point is use two pairs of ladies' tights, 1st pair stuffed with straw, hay, paper. or rags for the legs.

The 2nd pair (again stuffed) upside down for the arms.
Join the two together making sure the body parts of them are
fully stuffed too!

Then using 1 leg of a pair of tights, fill with straw into a rounded shape and tie the end off with string. You should be able to attach this to the upside pair.

Add a shirt and trousers, or even a jacket and tie, and possibly a hat to finish it off,
(all your own design of course)!
