Overcoming Obstacles

We have been very quiet lately as you know I’m at uni studying to be a nurse and It’s been hectic to say the least, but we have been beavering away in the background. We have had a grant to enable us to take on more people for the free training that we offer in the beauty and aesthetics industry if you know anyone that is struggling and could do with a hand up then please let us know we have 3 spaces available. Our priority is ex offenders, and those with or without benefits that just need a new start. We are also looking for somewhere that we can host our classes as we use donations or small grants we cannot afford to pay for the rooms as we do this for free but would only use the room for a few hours a week and we bring our own kits… thanks for reading long winded I know x happy new year

A while back we where donated lots of salon equipment from a lovely lady who was shutting down her salon that she had had for many years, we have had a bit to spare so we have started to donate it to others our First Lady is Kim Priestley who works for herself and is about to start an new venture xx good luck Kim xx

The following course is part funded and will require a £200 deposit but this is 85% off the full course so you only pay the remainder. This course is open to those on low incomes looking to step into the world of Aesthetics. We will be offering a foundation filler course with a pathway on this so you will be able to step straight into a new career once you have completed your training. Inbox for further details

Here at Overcoming Obstacles I have worked tirelessly to be able to set up this business that enables me to offer out fully and part funded courses in our community. I can finally say that I have been given some funding and can now offer out some of these opportunities. The reason I started this company was to try to bridge the gap between inequalities within our communities and especially for those that have criminal records/ex offenders, care leavers, homeless and those at risk of.
