✨Tear Trough Filler✨

Tear trough filler is not for everyone.
It is a ver sensitive area where filler can become apparent really easy and where fluid retention is to be consider thoroughly (hyaluronic acid attracts water, therefore it can worsen swelling or “bags” in areas where the lymphatic drainage is poor).
There are 4 things to look for when choosing the right candidate:
1) good quality skin.
2) hollowness.
3) lack of hyperpigmentation (no dark circles)
4) herniation of the fat pad (permanent bags under the eyes).

Look at these 2 cases. Both got the under eye area filled but the biggest change appears to be on the first one where there are no “dark circles”. Both clients were previously informed of the expected outcome of the treatment and both of them are really happy with their results.

☀️MELASMA☀️

Melasma is a skin condition where melanocytes (pigment-producing cells in the skin) produce extra pigment, creating patches of darker skin. It affects more commonly darker-skin people and females, starting between the ages of 20 and 40. It is triggered by UV light and hormones like oestrogen and progesterone. Any medications or medical conditions that affect this hormones can make you more likely to suffer from it (pregnancy, hormone therapy, birth control, thyroid problems…).

The different ways of treating it involve either or both:
- Removing superficial layers of the skin by skin peels, laser or skincare that makes your cell turnover increase (retinols, AHA, BHA).
- Controlling the production of pigment on melanocytes with depigmenting creams containing arbutin or hydroquinone. Please be aware that hydroquinone is a prescription-only medicine and therefore you would need a face to face assessment by a medical professional before you are ever prescribed it.

Sometimes it can disappear by itself, mostly in cases where it is related to certain medications and hormonal imbalances (like pregnancy).

The best prevention against it is wearing DAILY SUNSCREEN.

In here you can see how the shape was and the volume were enhanced without creating ledges, therefore making them plumper but “unnoticeable”. People will see beautiful lips and will have no idea they are done 😉

Second session of lip filler for this client.

Sometimes treatment is not done all at once. In this case, the client was concerned she would look done and did not want to go for 2 ml of filler at once (although that is what she should have gone for from the beginning, taking into account her concerns and how extense the cheek area is), so she went for one and got in touch for the second a couple of months after. And look at how natural and lovely she looks 😍

In this case, we didn’t want to volumise the cheeks too much because she had a very good cheek anatomy to begin with, but she was a bit “empty” under the eye area (anterior cheek) and wanted to get rid of the nose to mouth line shadow (nasolabial fold shadow). For that, we focus on lifting the pyriform fossa instead of touching the fold itself. And voilà, look at how the shadow lifted without disappearing fully, leaving the client looking naturally beautiful.

On the first picture you can see the treatment on the day and on the second you can see the pretreatment picture along with the second visit one. I cannot get enough of her, so beautiful!

Summer lips 👄☀️

Just the top lip for this client. She wanted a very natural result so her lips are more balanced, but still keeping the upper one smaller than the top.
