Pigmentation is really common, especially after years of sun exposure, acne marks or hormonal changes.

IPL for pigmentation works by targeting the excess pigment in the skin using pulses of light energy. The pigment absorbs the light, breaks down and then gradually works its way out of the skin naturally over the following days and weeks.
A lot of clients are shocked at how quick the treatment actually is!

After treatment, the pigmentation usually goes darker first before it starts to fade — this is completely normal and actually a good sign that the treatment has targeted the pigment successfully 👏

You may also experience mild redness or warmth, slight sensitivity, darkening of pigment temporarily or a a “coffee ground” appearance as the pigment starts lifting

The skin then gradually looks clearer and more even as it heals
Results are different for everyone and sometimes a course of treatments is needed depending on how deep or stubborn the pigmentation is, but IPL can make such a difference to overall skin tone and confidence.

Skin Renew Microneedling Facial
This treatment works by creating tiny controlled micro injuries in the skin which stimulates your natural collagen and elastin production. Sounds scary but it really isn’t 🤣 the treatment is very tolerable and the results can be amazing when done consistently. I always check in throughout to ensure your comfort.

It’s such a good treatment if you struggle with:
acne scarring, fine lines & ageing skin, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, pigmentation, dull/tired skin and overall skin rejuvenation

After treatment your skin will usually look red, warm and a little flushed, similar to mild sunburn for the first 24-48 hours. Some people can experience a little dryness or tightness whilst the skin heals too which is completely normal 🫶

Aftercare is SO important to get the best results:
SPF daily, no direct sun for a few weeks, gentle and hydrating skincare for a few days, No gym, heat or sweating for 24-48 hours and no makeup for 24 hours.

Microneedling isn’t a quick fix treatment but when done as a course of 4-6 treatments, the results can be incredible 🤍

One treatment of IPL can do wonders for your confidence.
During this treatment, a beam of light targets the vein by heating it up. This damages the vein and then the body will naturally reabsorb it after a few weeks.
This treatment does feel hot but it’s over with very quickly and I check in throughout to ensure your comfort and that it’s not too hot.

Incredible results after just ONE IPL treatment for the veins on her cheeks 😍

This lovely lady did experience quite a bit of swelling and an instant bruise afterwards — which is a risk I always make people fully aware of during consultations and patch tests before going ahead with treatment.

There’s a reason I go through all possible risks and aftercare thoroughly, because although reactions like this aren’t common, you just never know how someone’s skin may respond. It’s so important that you’re fully informed beforehand so you can plan treatments around work, events and social plans if needed.

The swelling and bruising settled, and the results speak for themselves 🥰
