Here’s a before & after of a recent postural reset I did on my wife.

🟠 Orange arrows = misalignment
🟢 Green arrows = correct alignment

➡️ She naturally holds a lot of tension in her upper traps, especially on the left side, which you can clearly see in the second slide. That consistent tension has pulled her left shoulder slightly higher, disrupting overall symmetry in her upper body.

➡️ As for her scapula… due to the nature of her work, she often finds herself in a forward-rounded posture, with a tendency to round her left shoulder more. Over time, this has caused weakening of the muscles that stabilise the scapula, along with shortening of others. As a result, her left scapula has become outwardly rotated, positioned further from the spine, sitting in a less stable position.

After some focused work, her shoulders and scapula are now sitting in a much more neutral and supported position 🙌🏼

I’ll be sharing a process video soon of how we got here 💪🏼

It’s been over a year and a half since I started Resolve Massage, so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself 👋🏼

My name is Jack, and I started this business nearly two years ago with the aim of helping people move and feel better in their bodies 🏃

For about ten years, football was a huge part of my life ⚽️ I played at AFC Bournemouth Academy throughout that time, and although that journey came to an end earlier than I’d hoped, it gave me a solid foundation in discipline, physical health, and the importance of recovery. Over time, I found myself falling out of love with football and more drawn to a role where I could fully focus on helping people feel their most optimal, whether that’s in everyday life or in sport.

That’s what first led me into massage therapy. I experienced first-hand the impact recovery and bodywork can have, and I wanted to provide that same support to others 💪🏼

But as much as I love massage therapy, I was itching for more. I wanted to be able to help people in more complex ways and understand the body on a deeper, more scientific level. That led me to begin studying chiropractic at HSU, where I’m now working hard to broaden both my knowledge and the impact I can make 📚🧠

These days, I live a very active lifestyle. I enjoy sea dipping 🌊, strength training 🏋🏼‍♂️, going for walks 🚶‍♂️ and just being outdoors. I also care deeply about what goes into the body - I love food 🍳🥩, and value the importance of nutrition just as much as movement, strength training and recovery.

I’m passionate about what I do and excited to continue learning and developing in the years ahead. Thanks for being part of the journey so far - there’s so much more to come 📈👊🏼
