How often you should wash your hair depends on your scalp, hair texture, lifestyle, styling products and how oily or dry your hair becomes.

✨ Dry, curly or textured hair may benefit from washing less often
✨ Heavy styling-product users may need a deeper cleanse occasionally
✨ Your scalp should feel clean and comfortable — not itchy, greasy or overly dry
The key is using the right shampoo and conditioner for your individual hair type, rather than simply washing more or less.

💦 WHY YOU SHOULDN’T TIE WET HAIR UP TIGHTLY 💦

We know how easy it is to jump out of the shower, scrape your hair back and get on with your day — but wet hair is at its most fragile.
Tying it tightly while wet can put extra tension on the hair and may lead to:
✨ Breakage around the hairline
✨ Snapping through the lengths
✨ More tangles
✨ Weaker ends
✨ Frizz and damage over time
If you need to tie your hair back while it is damp, keep it loose and use a soft scrunchie rather than a tight elastic.
For healthier-looking hair, be gentle when it is wet, use a wide-tooth comb and avoid pulling or stretching it unnecessarily.

💦 DO YOU GO TO BED WITH WET HAIR? 💦

It might seem harmless, but sleeping with wet hair can be much tougher on your hair than you think.
When hair is wet, it is more vulnerable to stretching and breakage. Add hours of rubbing against your pillow and you can end up with:
✨ More tangles and knots
✨ Increased breakage
✨ Frizz and roughness
✨ Split or weakened ends
✨ Hair that looks duller and less healthy
Our advice? Try to make sure your hair is mostly or completely dry before bed, especially if it is coloured, bleached, fine or already prone to breakage.
And if you wash your hair in the evening, gently towel-blot rather than rubbing, use a heat protector before drying, and keep your hair loose rather than tying wet hair tightly back.
Small changes to your routine can make a big difference to keeping your hair looking long, strong, glossy and healthy. 🤍
