Lip Blush Information 🫦📲

Prior to your appointment you should keep your lips hydrated, this will help the pigment absorb evenly. You should also exfoliate your lips to create a smooth canvas. You should avoid substances and treatments that are blood thinning or that irritates the skin!

Aftercare -
Proper care after your appointment is important to achieve the best results. In the first 72 hours you could experience flaking, tenderness, throbbing, bruising, dryness or swelling and redness. This is completely normal and won’t last long.

Daily care for the next 2 weeks until healed -
Keep your lips hydrated (you will receive a balm in the after care kits) or Vaseline is good too. Make sure your hands are clean when applying or use a Cotten bud. It’s recommended to use a gentle face cleaner and to avoid the treated area. Some itching is normal, but DO NOT pick or peal your lips as this can cause the colour to heal unevenly. No makeup on the lips until healed. Do not expose the lip to sun, sunbeds, saunas, swimming, salt water. If the area gets wet gently pat with a clean towel.

If you are prone to getting cold sores, I recommend using a cold sore preventative from your local pharmacy for a week following your procedure.

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances your natural colour, definition and shape of your lips.

Do you have to have the full lip done?
No, you can have your lips outlined (lip liner), ombré or full lip.

Does lip blushing hurt?
Generally no! You will be numbed with a highly effective numbing cream. People normally describe it as a ticking, scratching or light pinching sensation. You can also have secondary numbing during the appointment if you feel slightly sore or uncomfortable.
