Chemical Peels

• Short-term effects

◦ Immediate changes: Right after the treatment, the skin may show redness, tightness, burning sensation, or swelling, and the symptoms vary with the depth of the peel. Superficial peels may only have mild redness and dryness, while deep peels may have obvious swelling and even blisters.

◦ 1-7 days: The skin gradually peels off, and the texture becomes rough temporarily. Superficial peels usually peel slightly for 2-5 days, while medium and deep peels may have large areas of peeling and scabbing, and the skin tone may be temporarily uneven.
