One minute you are Amy Winehouse and the next you’re at a transition meeting for the youngest 🤪
Tropic truly has changed my world in terms of absolutely everything.
When you become a mum you lose yourself.
When you become a mum to a dude who needs EVERYTHING extra, and also to support the beaut of a girl who didn’t ask for any of it - it’s tricky - to the point of tears of overwhelm daily but filled with SO much love - but it’s my life and I would NOT change any of it.
How has tropic changed my world?
Well being self employed for 15 years and having amazing businesses has been lush, but my boss was a bit tight 🤪🤣
I didn’t get any recognition, I didn’t get all inclusive trips abroad, I didn’t get all paid for festivals with free bar and food and entertainment that is insane.
I didn’t get a community like this one, I loved my staff of course and we still are friends which I love, but Tropic family is just a different level 🤭
Self employed Jess - she was drowning, and when kids come along flexibility was zero, paying to survive and so much pressure
Tropic - I help people, with their skin, their makeup, ultimately their confidence and well being.
My team? They are seeing and experiencing the benifit that come alongside doing this as a career / side hustle whatever you want to call it and I am so bloody proud of each of them!!
Flexibility - I’m there for the kids, for Phil, and with my health and unpredictability it means I can earn an income without letting others down.
So with gratitude in my veins and love in my heart I will forever be thankful for this opportunity. Thankful to my customers who are as obsessed as I am 🤭

Truthfully?
I don’t… my reply is usually ‘it’s Tropic’ 🤣
What you see is a tiny snapshot of my day
You don’t see the appointments.
The caring.
The business.
The school runs.
The laundry that’s been sitting there for three days (ok ssshhh more)
The endless mental to-do list.
Or the moments where I’m completely winging it.
But there is one thing I rarely skip…
My skincare.
Not because I’m obsessed with having perfect skin, or because it’s more important than anything else, that’s not it
But because those few minutes every morning and evening are mine.
No notifications.
No demands.
No one needing a snack.
No emails.
Just me.
It’s become my little sanctuary in the middle of the chaos.
A reminder that I matter too.
Some days it’s five minutes.
Some days it’s less.
But those small moments help me reset before I pour back into everyone else.
Because for me, skincare has never just been about looking good.
It’s about feeling like me again, the good the bad and the down right weird 🤪
