From 1st April 2026 my prices will be increasing on some of my treatments. This is due to inflation and product costs and not something I enjoy doing but is necessary to keep small businesses running.
You can view my updated prices on my website www.steelbeautiful.co.uk
Thank you so much for supporting my business and please contact me if you wish to discuss things further.
Many thanks Carly
Steel Beauty My name is Carly Mcpheat and I have been a Beauty Therapist for over 20 years. I offer a wide range of treatments from my beauty room in Edington including luxury spa treatments, gel nails and lash services to name a few. My aim is to offer a friendly and positive experience to all who visit me.
At Steel Beauty I try my best to create a space my clients can feel safe, confident and relaxed in. I hear “sorry” from my clients a lot and not because they are 5 mins late, or had to cancel late notice. I hear it for many reasons you have no need to feel sorry for. I have put together a list of the ones I hear most often.
These are the things I NEVER want you to apologise for in the cabin:
1. Having a rant:
Kids doing your head in? Work is driving you mad? We are all human and need to let off steam. I’m always happy to listen to you if you need to get something off your chest. The cabin is a safe space. Sometimes a good moan is needed!
2. Having hairy legs:
Please don’t go rushing in the shower before your pedicure or massage to shave your ankles for me. Honestly a huge part of being a beauty therapist is looking at hairy bodies and I will never, ever judge you for a bit of body hair. I can promise you I’m very rarely silky smooth myself!
3. Wearing your comfies:
This includes being make up free or wearing your pjs to your evening holistic appointment. I want you to be comfortable and to be yourself, plus no one wants to be putting a bra back on after a lovely massage!
4. Wanting a quiet appointment:
If you are feeling tired, overwhelmed or just need to decompress I’m more than happy to sit quietly and let you enjoy your treatment without feeling the pressure of having a conversation. You know me.. I’ll chat for England if you let me but if you want some quiet time please say and I’ll always be more than happy to stay in silence.
5. Falling asleep:
I actually take it as a huge compliment if you fall asleep during a treatment. It means you’re relaxed and feel comfortable in my company. I don’t care if you snore, pass wind or dribble! If you feel sleepy embrace it and get the rest your body is asking you for.
6. Asking for adaptions:
Want your eyebrow tint a little darker? Don’t like the music in the treatment room, feeling too hot, too cold? Please say! I want you to be happy and to get the results you want from my treatments and also that you enjoyed the experience fully. I will not be offended.

As many of you know I really enjoy reading and it’s something I’m focusing on doing more of this year. I thought it would be nice to offer a little book exchange in the salon, a space where you can pick up a book to take home or on holiday and also where you can bring in books to share that you’ve read and enjoyed. I’ve started it off with some of my reads that were sitting on the shelf although I have many more to add to this that are currently borrowed by friends and family. If you want to take part there’s only a couple of little rules:
1. Please bring back books you borrow so others can enjoy them after.
2. If you’re kindly bringing in any books to share can they be good quality reads and not books that you’ve had up in the attic or tatty magazines etc, I don’t want it ending up like a car boot! 🤣
Let’s see how it goes but I thought it was a nice thing to try and it will maybe save us keen readers some penny’s at the same time ❤️

Steel Beauty has officially closed for business in 2025. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks but it makes me so happy that you guys come in and let me earn a living doing a job I love! Thank you for visiting and for your generous cards and gifts. Have a wonderful Christmas and I’ll see you in 2026 for more treatments, chats and laughs. Much love Carly xx
The busiest week of the year is about to commence at Steel Beauty. I’m fully booked with a cancellation list so if you can’t make your appointment please give me 48 hours notice to fill your space. Please arrive in plenty of time and park sensibly to allow other clients to park too. I will do my best to be as punctual as possible. Looking forward to seeing you for festive nails, brows and lashes ❤️

Just a little reminder that I do sell gift vouchers for all my treatments and for money value. If you are looking for a present for a loved one or are an existing client and have people asking what to gift you. Please consider a gift voucher and support a small business at the same time. Vouchers can be collected from Edington any time before 23rd December or from Trimwise on Saturday 13th but please let me know in advance.
Many thanks
