💛 A little update regarding charity donations & fundraising requests 💛

As a small business, I receive a lot of lovely requests for prizes, vouchers and donations for fundraisers, events and charitable causes.

Anyone who has asked in the past will know that I’ve always been more than happy to support where I can, and I’m genuinely grateful that my business is in a position to be able to give something back. I’m absolutely committed to continuing to support causes that are close to my clientele and community. ❤️

However, over the past couple of years, the number of requests I receive has increased considerably. As much as I wish I could say yes to everyone, with a busy diary I’m finding that I simply can’t continue to donate as much of my time and services as I have previously without it having an impact on my business.

So, going forward, I’ve decided to put a small annual limit in place.

🎁 Each year I’ll have a gift pot of 10 x £30 vouchers available to donate to fundraising events and causes supporting my active clientele.

Once those 10 vouchers have been allocated, that will be the donation pot for the year — once they’re gone, they’re gone!

I’m absolutely useless at saying no 😂, but I’ve had to recognise that I can’t give away unlimited hours of my time. I’m currently finding it difficult to offer more than around 10 hours of my working time to charity each year without it affecting my business, so this feels like the fairest and most sustainable way for me to continue giving back.

I really hope you all understand, and I’m sorry in advance if I have to turn down a request. Please know that it isn’t because I don’t value the cause — it’s simply about putting a sensible boundary in place so that I can continue to run my small business successfully while still supporting the people and causes closest to it.

Ready for my first client on my third 12 hour day. Investing in an air con unit was the best thing I ever did…. I’m actually relieved to be at work and spending so long in here this week! Anyone remember my garage conversation days? 😢😢😢

Just to let my clients know the road going from Catcott into Edington (broadway) is closed between the drs surgery and crossroads for the next 5 days. You can still get to me from the Edington turning or by going through the villages (cossington, chilton polden).
