Will I tan after one session? ❓❓❓

Not likely — and here’s the science behind it:

🧬 Melanin production isn’t instant.

When your skin is exposed to UV light, it triggers melanocytes (pigment-producing cells) to produce melanin. This process takes time — typically 24–48 hours after exposure to even begin, and results build gradually with continued stimulation.

☀️ Most people need 3–5 sessions to start seeing visible colour.

That’s because your skin needs consistent UV exposure to activate and build up enough melanin for a noticeable tan.

📅 Consistency is key.

Tanning 3–4x per week allows your skin to gradually adapt, produce melanin more efficiently, and develop a deeper, longer-lasting tan safely.

Once a week to maintain that glow .

✈️ Planning a vacation?

Start tanning at least 2–3 weeks in advance to build a natural base tan and help reduce your risk of overexposure in a stronger UV climate.
