Hear’s the truth, the secret isn’t just in the makeup and brushes, you’ve got to do the work too! 🫧

If you really want to get serious about creating that flawless canvas, it’s essential to prep your skin ahead of time.

Here’s how to get started:

💧Hydration is key – Always my no.1! Drink plenty of water. Aim for 2-3 litres per day. Your mind and body will thank you!

🛏️ Prioritise sleep – Rested skin is radiant skin, so aim for quality sleep. Find it hard to switch off? Try implementing a simple bedtime routine to help you to relax and unwind. 💤

🥗 Nourish from within – This is a biggie! Balanced macronutrient meals, rich in vitamins, healthy fats and high in protein will make a HUGE difference (don’t forget the carbs - we don’t cut carbs over here! 💪🏻).

🧴 Stick to a basic routine – Cleanse, tone, moisturise, and always wear SPF to protect and maintain your skin barrier. Exfoliate with a gentle exfoliant once a week.

✨If you really wanna go the full shebang, add an active serum, retinol and facials suitable for your skin type and skin concerns. ***Always seek advice from a skincare specialist***

😌 Manage stress & move – Skincare isn’t just topical; find ways to relax and unwind to support your skin’s health. Mindfulness practices, movement and exercise are great for lowering cortisol levels. It’ll also help you to sleep, so it’s a win win!

🌟 Start your skincare journey at least 6 months out from your big day (12 months is ideal if you’re on a retinol journey). Remember, consistency is your best friend here!

I’ve been reflecting on the past year and honestly? I’m a bit lost for words (which is rare for me!). One word that does feel right though, is PROUD.

Business growth, personal growth and so much learning - it’s been huge. But let’s be real, it hasn’t been easy. There’s been plenty of self-doubt, loneliness, overworking, spirals, all alongside the ‘what ifs’, ‘do I?’, ‘can I?’, ‘I can’t’. It’s been a journey. But every tear, laugh and ‘what the f*** am I doing’ moment has been worth it. And at the end of the day, I’m just a woman figuring life out at my own pace.

One of the biggest joys has been meeting so many incredible people along the way, especially my brides. Hearing their stories and sharing their journeys into my chair has given me something - hope, insight, a mindset shift or just a much needed laugh (the best medicine!).

One of my biggest hype women and no.1 fan I want to personally thank, is my therapist, 💖Without this epic woman, I wouldn’t be the strong, independent and connected woman I am today (and believe me, I’m very different from the girl I was 2+ years ago!). Forever grateful 🫶🏻
