Hives and Herbals

💖 I've started selling my SHINY NEW range of organic skincare!!! Once the new website is ready I am excited to talk about them all properly, for now I wanted to share a funny conversation and a lovely review.

DISCLAIMER: It/you won't spontaneously combust if you use it outside of the intended area 🤣 I've designed all of our new recipes to continue to be gentle with sensitive skin and I use our lip balm and hand cream recipes all over my body.

'Queen Bee Balm' upgrade explained: Still our own beeswax base but now with organic jojoba oil and infused with new herbs: marshmallow, rosehip and chamomile 👑

Recently we cleaned up some old frames from our hives. We put the honeycomb in our feeder so our bees could snack on and clean out the remaining honey.

After being unable to check on the hives due to a mini break, we had left it in a week too long and they had started building some beautiful natural comb in there!!!

It reminds me of coral and Tash thinks it looks like a sunshine shape. Nature is so beautiful 😍

✨Time for a break, BACK IN SEPTEMBER ✨

But I wanted to post this before we pause... This all feels like just the start of making BIG goals happen - because of the huge support of my Dad, who puts so much of his time into helping AND our new bee keeper/my new friend Tash, who could not be a better fit with her beautiful attitude to life 🙌

My biggest long term goal: I want to be able to employ people who don’t thrive in typical working environments. Creating a community around Hives and Herbals, so I can share the freedom and happiness I’ve gotten from this workspace, is a huge passion of mine. My drive is so high to bring the business to a place where that’s a reality. Quiet areas of the business for those who prefer alone time, markets for people who love to chat, time in nature and space to create… There are so many potential roles that I feel are so supportive and inclusive for all types of people.

THANK YOU to everyone who supports Hives and Herbals in any way. I will always be grateful for all the kind comments, invites to events, lovely feedback, deep chats and when people choose to spend their money on the things we work so hard on!

Live music, lots of tasty snacks, handmade things (not just food!) and also there's an interactive event - a walk around the area exploring the history of the area!
