Friday Football Fact.
Edward Elgar was a staunch Wolverhampton Wanderers fan. In the 1890’s he went to Molineux Stadium for every home game on his bicycle.
He even wrote what is thought to be the first ever football chant ‘He banged the leather for goal’

Had 2 sporting legends in today. The captain of the England pétanque team and a regular customer who’s just been selected in the team for the ultimate frisbee World Cup .

Looks like the Summer is heading to town.
We are filling up fast today with pre Bank Holiday cuts.
We are open tomorrow and Saturday but closed on Monday. ☀️

Very sad to hear that Martin has passed away.
Not only a mate and a customer but a familiar face for years up here in Cotham.
Having a local business on the hill you often become good friends with people who come through the door, and he was exactly that, a good friend.
Going to miss our chats.

Half the money goes to the person with the team that finishes as runner up.
The other half to the team that leaks the most goals.
The person with the team that wins the World Cup gets a large amount of cheese savouries .

💈After a week off with a crazy bad back I will be in the shop again on Tuesday .
Thanks to all who messaged with bad back advice and those who booked for next week and The Green Man for popping a note on the shop door. Slightly less sprightly but ready to go.💈
