Hearing that you’re leaving came as such a shock, and I still don’t think it’s fully sunk in.

Because of you, I’ve made lifelong friendships, grown in confidence, and had opportunities I’ll never forget. Going to Farmasi City with you this year is a memory I’ll treasure forever, and now knowing it was your last makes it even more special.

This week’s visit was all about sharing a little kindness 🍰💛

We brought a cake into Katherine House for the wonderful staff to enjoy on their coffee break. The cake had been rescued through Mamas Food Surplus, an incredible charity that collects surplus food from local supermarkets to stop it going to landfill and help families in the community.

We thought it was the perfect opportunity to pass that kindness on. After all… cake still tastes just as good after its best-before date! 🍰

After delivering the cake (and seeing some very happy faces!), Eric continued his usual routine two biscuits with Sue, the biggest cuddle for Grandma June, a visit to Ron and his famous handshake, a sprint to the tea trolley when he heard it coming, and finally a big kiss goodbye for Grandma before heading home.

It’s amazing how the smallest acts of kindness can brighten someone’s day and that’s exactly what Wednesdays at Katherine House are all about.

Today we popped over with our friends to visit the brand-new Cookie Kabin in Patchway, and what a fantastic addition to our local community! 🧁✨

We love supporting local independent businesses and, let’s be honest, nothing beats a delicious homemade cake! After choosing our treats, we headed home ready to put them to the test.

Back home, I made myself & Ryan a delicious mug of Farmasi Chicory Coffee ☕️🤎 while we tucked into our treats. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s so much more than just coffee! Packed with vitamins and minerals, it helps support energy levels, contains chicory root fibre, and helps keep me feeling fuller for longer throughout the day. It’s become part of my daily routine because I get to enjoy my coffee while also giving my body something extra.

Ryan and I showed a little more self-control and saved one for later, but we couldn’t resist sharing the hazelnut cornflake brownie… and wow! 🤤 Absolutely delicious.

Safe to say we’ll be regular visitors from now on, and we highly recommend you pay them a visit too!
