How does Fat dissolving work?
Aqualyx contains a substance called Deoxycholic acid, a secondary bile acid. With the assistance of bacteria our body is able to produce this acid in the liver in order to aid the digestion of fat. The active substance locks on to the fat cell walls and starts to operate, resulting in the cell wall becoming unstable and releasing the fatty acid that is stored within. Cell residue is removed by the body’s defences and the non-attached fatty acids are metabolised and converted into energy.

What areas of the body can be treated?
Fat dissolving can be administered in many areas over the entire body for example: double chin, upper arms, waist, hips, saddle bags, abdomen and inner thighs.

How many treatments are required?
On average you will have to expect around 3 to 5 appointments, with 4-week intervals, until you can actually fully experience the results. A treatment with Aqualyx does not result in weight loss. Healthy nutrition as well as an exercise regimen are an absolute necessity to ensure success of the treatment.
Aqualyx achieves these fantastic results with just three to six sessions, at four-week
intervals. The number of sessions required depends on the size of the fatty deposit and on how quickly your body responds to the treatment.

The fat dissolving injection treatment is an effective and economical procedure involving small injections of various vitamins and compounds into the fat deposits which dissolves the fat cells and removes them permanently from the body.

Typically benefits are seen 3-4 weeks after the initial treatment.

The small fat dissolving injections are quite comfortable. The needle is smaller than that commonly used by diabetics to inject their insulin a few times a day. Often numbing cream is applied half an hour prior to the procedure. Taking two paracetamol tablets one hour prior to the procedure can also help. Avoid ibuprofen or Nurofen as this can increase bruising.

Is fat dissolving safe?
Aqualyx is a safe, effective fat dissolving injection treatment that reduces fat cells in the treated area. It produces long lasting results, which means you can banish those annoying-ly wobbly bits.
Aqualyx can be used to treat small, exercise resistant, pockets of fat around the chin, chest, abdomen, thighs, knees and ankles. It is very effective for body contouring, but is not a treatment for weight loss.

What is Aqualyx or Lipo Lab?
It is made up from a number of different plant based compounds that have been refined in a lab environment. It dissolves the membranes of fat cells in the treated area. The fat cells become unstable and break open. The fatty acids contained within the cell are then eliminated by macrophages (part of the body’s immune system) and the liver.

Is Fat dissolving suitable for me?
If you are maintaining a healthy lifestyle and are close to your ideal body weight, but have isolated stubborn areas of fat then fat dissolving might be suitable. Popular areas that we treat are double chins, moobs, saddle bags, inner thighs and abdomen - including defining a six pack.
If you have significant weight then fat dissolving may not be suitable for you, unless want-ing to start and maintain a healthier lifestyle. If you have recently lost significant weight then the area concerning you may be loose skin which we can improve with skin tightening treatments.

Fat dissolving is not suitable if you:
* Have diabetes.
* Have liver or kidney disease.
* Have active skin problem in the area to be treated.
* Are taking blood thinning medicine e.g. warfarin. (can be consulted by clients GP)

Are fat dissolving results permanent?
Whilst the body can regenerate fat cells - the process is very slow. So once fat cells are removed from a localised area your results are as good as permanent. However, if you do not continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle then your body will put on weight in other areas of your body where fat cells remain.
