Almost a year ago, you walked into the salon at just 16 years old, about to turn 17. Now you're nearly 18, and the difference between the girl who walked through that door and the young woman sitting behind that desk today is honestly incredible.

And I don't just mean your nails.

You've worked so hard on every part of becoming a nail tech. Your skills, your timings, your clients, your confidence, putting yourself out there, learning how to be part of a busy salon and finding your place within a team.
Some of those things have come naturally to you, and I know there have been times when it's been really hard, you've doubted yourself, been frustrated with yourself and had to push yourself completely out of your comfort zone.
But you kept going.

You've listened, you've learned, you've taken things on board and you've worked at the things you've found difficult instead of giving up on them. And I hope when you swipe through these photos, you can actually see just how far you've come.

Out of everything, I think the thing I've loved watching most is your confidence grow. Watching that quiet 16 year old slowly start believing in herself, becoming more confident with her clients, her work and within the salon.

Somewhere along the way, you didn't just become a better nail tech. You became such a solid and important part of our team.

To be awarded Top 10 nationally for Trainee of the Year, while you're still right at the beginning of your career, is such an incredible achievement. I'm so glad you're getting the recognition for all of that hard work, because I've seen first hand just how much you've put into getting here.

I cannot tell you how proud of you I am, Wiki. I hope you're proud of yourself too, because you absolutely should be.

We are all so so proud of you 🖤

And the best bit? You're only just getting started.
