So some of you may of noticed my absence from social media particularly my business page. The truth is I’ve had a tough couple of months with my mental health and I’m not ashamed or afraid to say I wasn’t ok, not at all !
But At the time I was embarrassed that I was struggling to cope with even the simplest of day to day tasks, getting up in the morning was so hard, looking after children whilst trying to hold a job down, trying to run a business and just simply thinking about what to cook for tea completely drained me.
It all boiled over and I couldn’t cope, I felt so guilty for feeling so useless cause surely I’m a mom I should have my s**t together? I should be strong especially for my kids ? Surely I just needed to get a grip and get on with it ? NO unfortunately it doesn’t quite work like that !!
So one night when my son found me sat in bed inconsolably crying, the look on his face made me realise I have to get better for them, I knew I needed to ask for help so I simply sent a single text to my mom saying “I’m not ok” she came straight over and sat with me we talked for ages and cried a lot too but that was the first step for me.

That’s when I accepted its ok to not be ok there’s no weakness in that. I’m stronger then I thought 💪🏼
We look after our physical health but it’s so important to look after our mental health too.
I’m generally quite a private person and was nervous about posting this but if it helps just 1 person then it was worth it. I just want anyone out there to know you can get better, you don’t have to live under a cloud. There is light at the end of the tunnel you just have to look for it ❤️
