🚨 Stop blaming the Stanley Cup…
I’ve seen so many videos claiming drinking from a Stanley Cup, using a straw or even sipping through a bottle is what causes lip filler to migrate…
It doesn’t.
Yes, repeatedly using the muscles around your mouth (like when using a straw or smoking) creates movement, but that movement alone isn’t what makes filler migrate.
Lip filler migration is much more likely to be influenced by things such as:
✨ Natural ageing
☀️ UV/sun damage
🧬 Genetics
💉 Poor injection technique/quality of products
📍 Overfilling or repeated treatments before filler has settled
BIG ONE - if your practitioner has completed filler and with age it’s migrated this does not mean that they had done a “bad job”, so many factors come into how & why.
What about smoking?
Smoking can increase the risk of migration, but it’s not because of the sucking action. It’s the chemicals in to***co that accelerate collagen breakdown, elastin damage and skin ageing, reducing the support around the lips over time.
This is why two people can have the exact same filler, yet one experiences migration and the other doesn’t.

Firstly… can we appreciate how AMAZING this lady has done on her weight loss journey! 👏🏼🤍
With significant weight loss can come something we don’t always talk about…volume loss in the face, particularly through the mid-cheek.
