Recently, our entire team completed specialist Domestic Abuse Awareness training through the programme, designed specifically for professionals within the hair and beauty industry.

Our philosophy has always been:

👑 𝘿𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙. 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡. 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙.

And this training reflects exactly what that means to us.

As salon professionals, we know we are often part of our clients’ regular routines and trusted spaces. The training helped our team better understand the signs of domestic abuse, the barriers many people face when seeking support and how to respond with compassion, sensitivity and discretion.

While we are not counsellors or emergency responders, we believe awareness matters. Creating a safe, welcoming environment matters. Kindness matters. 🫶💕

For some individuals, a salon appointment may be one of the few opportunities they have outside their home environment. We want every client to know that Duchess Lounge will always strive to be a place where they feel safe, respected and supported.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐄: You’ll be delivering a wide range of high-quality treatments, including:
• Advanced skincare & results-driven facials (with ongoing training provided)
• Waxing (including intimate waxing)
• Brow treatments & lash lifts
• Manicures & pedicures
• Client consultations and personalised treatment planning

You’ll play a key role in building long-term client relationships, confidently recommending treatments and homecare, and contributing to the elevated experience Duchess Lounge is known for.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐖𝐄’𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑:
• Fully qualified Beauty Therapist (Level 2 & 3 essential)
• Minimum 2+ years salon experience
• Strong foundation across core treatments (waxing, brows, lashes, nails)
• A genuine passion for advanced skincare and skin transformation
• Confident in consultation, client care, and retail recommendations
• Professional, reliable, and committed to high standards
• A team player who takes pride in their work and environment

To say Alison has been an integral part of our journey would be an understatement. Her dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment have helped shape Duchess Lounge into the business it is today.

Through every high, every challenge and everything in between — she has been a constant. Loyal, hardworking and always leading with care, for both our team and our clients.

Quite simply… Duchess Lounge would not be what it is without her.
