A bit of an update from me 💛
Last weekend I had a fall, I hurt my face very badly and ended up in not 1 but 3 hospitals — it turns out it was actually my heart and I have since had a small device fitted to monitor it ❤️‍🩹
I’m okay, but as a result I’m not able to drive for the next six months, and I’m no longer able to hold the insurance needed to keep treating clients in the same safe way.
So, after a lot of tears and thought, I’ve made the decision to close Linen Skin Clinic.
This wasn’t a decision I expected to be making, and it hasn’t been easy to write. But I’m so grateful for every single one of you who trusted me with your skin, your time, and your stories since I opened in December.
It’s meant more than you know.

☀️ The part of sun care nobody talks about — what you do after the sun ☀️

As we know, SPF protects your skin during sun exposure. But after a day in the sun your skin is working hard — repairing, recovering, trying to hold onto moisture it’s already lost.

Here’s what it actually needs:

💛Hydration first — hyaluronic acid [applied to damp skin] and a good moisturiser to replace the water your skin has lost. Your barrier has been under stress all day.

💛Ceramides — to repair and restore the lipid layer. Look for them in your evening moisturiser.

💛Aloe vera — pure, fragrance free, straight from the fridge if you can. Nature’s most effective skin soother.

💛Niacinamide — calms redness, supports barrier repair, helps prevent pigmentation from forming after sun exposure.

What to avoid — anything with fragrance, acids or retinol the same evening. Your skin is already sensitised. Give it a night off.
