For anyone who missed it…....
Lancashire County Council, along with Burnley Football Club, are proposing road closures around Turf Moor before, during, and after matchdays for up to 8 hours!

⛔️ Roads affected include:
🔸 Todmorden Road
🔸 Belvedere Road
🔸 Brunshaw Road
🔸 Harry Potts Way
🔸 Higgin Street
🔸 Yorkshire Street

This is still very urgent. The deadline to object is almost here, and this decision could have a real and personal impact on me, my business, and my income.

If this goes ahead, it could mean empty appointment slots, lost earnings, and clients unable to reach me, something no small business can afford.

I’m really encouraged to see that MP Oliver Ryan has also objected, because this affects far more than just me — it impacts other businesses, organisations, local residents, and the wider community.

What’s most frustrating is that many of us were not properly consulted — we only found out from a notice on a lamp post. So many people still don’t know about this, so please keep sharing and raising awareness.

🚨 URGENT – THIS WILL HURT MY SMALL BUSINESS 🚨

I’m honestly shocked and upset about the proposal from Lancashire County Council to shut roads around Turf Moor on match days (+special events), including Todmorden Road where my business is based.

This means no access for hours before and after matches. For me, that’s not a minor inconvenience, it means clients can’t get to me, appointments are lost, and I lose income. This is my livelihood!

What makes it worse? I was never contacted directly. I only found out from a notice on a lamp post. The local church, registry office, and others affected also say they were not consulted.

How can decisions like this be made without properly informing the very people it will impact?

This will damage local businesses, disrupt people’s lives, and affect our whole community.

Please help by objecting to this (I know time is precious so will attach an objection template in the comments to help, feel free to tweak it or do your own)
