IF I WANTED YOU TO BE STUCK WITH YOUR SKIN WITH ZERO IMPROVEMENT THIS IS WHAT I WOULD SUGGEST!
I know I said what I said 💭 & 🙏🏼 to your skin 🤪
But hear me out….
•You have no idea what your skin needs until you actually strip back the products
•listening to people who don’t have experience working with skin or a deeper understanding isn’t going to give us answers, no matter how many people liked it.
•your skin is always telling you, it’s smarter than you think and I honestly believe the over complication of products has led to skincare feeling like a minefield. It’s much simpler than you think and skin is smarter than the products tell you it is.
•skin treatments may be required at times but messing with something you don’t actually understand gives you more problems later down the line (approach with caution)
•it’s not just skincare that affects skin makeup does too, it’s all about working out what’s right for YOU & your SKINS needs!
Nope, I don’t have the same outlook on makeup and skincare to most, but what I do with my clients works not because I’m trying to sell you yet another product but because I help you understand what’s happening and fix that.

The things I see 👀🤪
The beauty industry has always had strict rules around hygiene, I kind of understand that the customer may not always realise this but the hygiene rules are there to keep you safe.
I always recommend testing products, but I’ve seen way too many things that would keep me well away from testing most things on my own face in store….
This mascara story though was wild 🤪🤣:
The customer just casually using the tester on her lashes. The assistant just standing there letting her and not even encouraging a hygiene wand 😮 blew my mind.
Now imagine this lady having had mites or conjunctivitis… you see the problem 👀
And the next assistant may well use a hygiene wand with the next customer but would be completely oblivious that the product was already contaminated.
It only takes that one time….
So test, but test safely…. Ask a brand representative and they should be able to help.
Check things have been cleaned with cleaner or alcohol spray.
Use the hygiene wands provided.
Self select areas are the worst (avoid)
Use your hand to test colours.
And seriously it’s 2026! The recession proof business of beauty should get this by now if your staff don’t understand the basics it’s time to spend a little more on training.

WHEN YOU WANY SKIN TO HAVE THAT ✨
I’ve been talking about glowy makeup today and so as I had a few liquid highlighters out I thought I’d show you the difference…
BUT MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW with a liquid highlighter:
• the amount of oil it contains can completely make or break your makeup, too much oil = movement/ makeup breaking up
• application is EVERYTHING light application with something like the classic foundation brush lightly loaded will enable a thin layer instead of breaking up all your makeup
• choose your shade wisely, you don’t want a golden or pink shade that looks obvious you shouldn’t really see the colour of the product once it’s on the skin… for example the high beam great on fair to lighter skin tones, the iconic in original more fair to mid and the sleek deeper tones

I can promise you Italians have a different complexion to us but it’s no surprise to discover this!!
This is the power of influencer marketing and social media 😮 I’m not surprised really but it does make me a little sad. It feels to me like we just want a one face fits all cookie cutter model for makeup 🤷🏽♀️
Let’s start choosing products because they suit/work for us not because it’s trending or hyped up.
Trending doesn’t = right
Foundation doesn’t need to go here!
It’s like painting the house right?
You start with one skirting board and then you’re doing the arcs, door and walls and off into other rooms…. I get it but if you have the right shade of foundation we don’t need to put it over the other areas to make them match 💭
Not to mention all the clothes we end up with endless foundation marks on 🤪
Struggling with concealer coverage?
It may not be your concealer it may be your method.
The most common thing I see in sessions is rubbing concealer which almost ‘breaks it up’
Think about it like this - when you butter toast you move the knife gently over the bread to get an even distribution, press too firmly and you’ll break through the butter or worse the bread….
We don’t want to break through the concealer we just want a ‘thin layer’ onto skin.
PATTING with get you that result:
•better coverage
•easier to layer
•doesn’t crease the same
•coast feel ‘heavy’
Give it a try (obviously the concealer being the right shade and the right type for you will help even further but this should be a great start.

All the ‘Ickes’ and eye rolls for these…
Yes I know I love to ‘de influence’ because more than half of the products my clients have in their makeup bags don’t work for them and cost a bomb!
I’m just sick of the BS being served up in the name of creating ‘content’. I’m no eco warrior but the waste this generates the endless loops of buying crap that doesn’t work is unnecessary.
When my clients get to me they’ve pretty much tried lots of different things to no avail, and tend to feel a bit skeptical that change is even possible….
I know this because I work with ‘real women’ and help them make those changes to improve skin and makeup because I help them understand their own needs (not the influencers).
If it was just a list of set products I’d just give one out! But it it’s so much more…. It’s what you use, how you use it, where and what with IT ALL WORKS TOGETHER!
I could give you a list of all the best products for you but without the insight of what you need to do with them you’d never get the actual result.
So please if you do one thing today know THERE IS ANOTHER WAY to improve skin and makeup and this is exactly what I do. I coach you through it. And get you RESULTS the ones you didn’t realise were possible.
BUYING A PRODUCT AND THEN IT BEING DISCONTINUED❌😵
Because all your 1:1 recommendations are selected carefully with your needs and all your products in mind, this is one that really ‘bugs me’ and you imagine 😆
But when you’ve been working with me, using your new methods and products and seeing the results it’s really important that’s we don’t just buy ‘whatever’ to put us on for now (as that now can become a long time, I’ve been there😂).
If this happens to you you the product I recommended for you becomes discontinued… just ask me via our ‘makeup chat’ and I will be more than happy to give you an alternative.

WHAT ORDER SHOULD SPF GO IN???
There is always some confusion around where SPF goes in your makeup routine.
LET ME EXPLAIN ⬆️
There is a reason behind everything I suggest….
1. Moisturise - there is no point in using your skincare if it isn’t allowed to do its job with skin hence why it makes contact with skin fully.
2. SPF - this is adding a protective layer to skin so needs to be on top of moisturiser
3. PRIMER - this stops the oils/ water/ grease breaking up your foundation/base and other makeup products and puts in a barrier between them hence why it goes on last
DON’T FORGET - UVA AND UVB PROTECTION IN YOUR SPF
