Shani has been coming to me for many years on and off, and she recently shared her experience in her own words. I asked if I could share it, and she was happy for me to.
She has electrolysis on her lip and chin. In her words: “The results I’m achieving with Helen have made a real difference to my self-confidence, and I’m delighted with the progress.”
She is also having IPL on her bikini line. Following her cancer diagnosis, extensive surgery and the removal of lymph nodes in that area, waxing and shaving are not options she wants to take. IPL has given her the confidence to go swimming and feel comfortable at the pool.
She describes it as “a particularly important treatment” for her.
That is exactly why these treatments matter. The results are one thing; what those results give someone back is another. And that is what matters most.
I am so proud of the work we do here, and of every year of training, experience and dedication that makes it possible.
“I can thoroughly recommend Helen and all that she has to offer. I have always felt completely comfortable in her care.”
Thank you, Shani. It means a great deal.
If you have a hair removal concern, whether it is electrolysis or IPL, and you are not sure which route is right for you, a consultation is always the place to start.

When I ask you for GP consent before a treatment, it is because you come first. Every time.
This carousel explains why that request is part of how I work, what it means for your safety, and why the medical world supports it too. (Or should do).
Have you ever been asked for GP sign-off before a beauty or aesthetic treatment? I would love to know your thoughts in the comments.

Your skin has had a full summer. Now is a good time to give it some attention before December arrives.
Some treatments work best over a course of appointments, with results that build gradually. Others have downtime and healing to do. Starting now means your skin has time to get there.
If pigmentation, dullness or blemishes have been on your mind since spring, autumn is the moment to act on it.

Electrolysis for permanent hair removal, let me explain what it actually is and how it works.
Electrolysis is the only method of hair removal that is recognised as truly permanent. A very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle and a small electrical current is applied. That current destroys the follicle’s ability to produce hair. No follicle activity, no regrowth.
It works on all hair colours and all skin types, which is something not every hair removal method can say.
How often you need to come in depends on a few things, the area being treated, the density of hair, and where each hair is in its growth cycle at the time of treatment. Hair grows in cycles, so we can only treat what is visible and active. That is why a course of appointments is needed rather than a single session.
In the early stages, appointments tend to be more frequent. As the hair thins and the follicles are progressively weakened, the gaps between visits get longer. One of my clients started with twice-weekly sessions and now comes in just once a month.
It is a gradual process, and an honest one. Results build over time, and they last.
If you have questions about whether electrolysis could work for you, DM me or book a consultation and we can talk through exactly what to expect. ®

Some days it feels like there are too many options, devices, serums, treatments, and it’s hard to know which ones will actually do what they say.
This one does.
The new Germaine de Capuccini device combines collagen induction, microcurrent and blue or red light therapy in one treatment. Paired with their highest-concentration actives, including growth factors and exosomes, what goes into the skin is as considered as how it gets there.
I trialled it before bringing it into the clinic. The science behind it is impressive, and the results confirm it. To top it off it is suitable to cover the lip area, I personally think it’s fabulous and results can be felt and see after the first treatment.
If you have been wondering whether microneedling or light therapy is something your skin could benefit from, save this and have a read back when you are ready to ask questions.
What skin concern would you most want to address if you could? I would love to know.
Some of the skin concerns I see in clinic are ones people have been quietly carrying for years, convinced they are complicated, permanent, or just something to live with.
Most of the time, they are far simpler to address than that.
Sparse or uneven brows. Troublesome and unsightly skin tag’s, Lips that lose definition at the edges or skin concerns, lumps and bumps, pigmentation patches or fine lines and ageing concerns. These come up again and again, and in a good number of cases a single consultation is enough to map out a straightforward plan.
Most people tell me they wish they had asked and started sooner and are really pleased with the results they achieve. That’s the part I hear most.
If something has been sitting in the back of your mind, it costs nothing to ask.

Does this read well for a caption beneath a post.
The season changes and you notice your skin!
This is your sign to book a facial that’s actually been prescribed for your skin.
Not every skin concern responds to the same treatment. Pigmentation, congestion, fine lines, sensitivity, each one needs a different approach, the right actives, and in some cases the right device behind it.
A lovely facial is lovely. A prescribed one moves the skin forward.
If you’ve had treatments before and not quite seen the results you were hoping for, it might simply be that what you had wasn’t matched to what your skin actually needed.
Consider this your nudge. DM me Consult to book.

Something new has landing at S.E.A Clinic and I am genuinely excited about this one.
Germaine de Capuccini science-backed actives, the highest concentrate levels, and a delivery device that combines electroporation, micro-needling, skin firming and light therapy in one prescriptive treatment. We are talking real collagen induction for real skin concerns, including aging skin.
I have been trialling it myself and working with an 81 year old to put it properly through its paces before launch. Early results are lovely. Take a look at client results here and the hi-lights tab.

Thirty years of living with something on her face that her GP could not remove. She mentioned it to me during a conversation, I examined them, and we took it from there.
The treatment took around ten minutes. She could not believe it when she looked in the mirror.
If there’s something you’ve been working around for years, it’s worth a conversation to find out whether I can help.

Skin biohacking sounds complicated. It really isn't.
it means using targeted ingredients, treatments, and lifestyle habits to help your skin function better at a cellular level.
What matters is knowing which ones your skin actually needs, and in what combination. That's where a qualified professional makes the difference.
