You’ve finally got an appointment for a Hollywood wax with me 🙌🏼 So don’t let it go to waste… here’s how to prep like a Queen 👑

Let It Grow
Please make sure you haven’t shaved or had any other form of hair removal for AT LEAST 4 weeks before your appointment. The longer the hair the better the wax! 🙌🏼 I’ll trim for you if needed ✂️

Exfoliate
Exfoliation is important to lift that hair up and stop it from lying flat to your skin. This will make it much easier for my wax to grab even some of the shortest hairs at your first treatment.

Loose Clothes
Teeny tiny thongs and skin tight jeans or leggings will rub on your freshly waxed skin. Come to your appointment in big knickers and loose clothing that is going to be comfortable and breathable 🌬️

Freshen Up Beforehand
Showered today? Then you’re fine. Freshen up wipes are available in the toilet if you’re feeling paranoid, or you’ve come straight from the gym 🧻

No Moisturiser, Oils or False Tan
Not on waxing day. They form a barrier to the wax. Come with clean dry skin 💫

Arrive on time!
If you’re late, even by a couple of minutes, this might affect your treatment. I may not have time to carry out the full treatment you booked, or your appointment may be cancelled all together. Arrive on time so that we can spend a minute or two chatting so that you’re nice and relaxed when we get started with your waxing⌚️

It’s been 18 months since we bought this house, and 12 months of major renovation works. It still doesn’t quite feel real that we are living here now.

I need to pretty it up a bit with some pictures, shelves and maybe a plant 🪴 And we can’t wait for some spring sunshine to get started outside on planting up the borders 🪻🌷🌹🌺🌸

It couldn’t be easier!

If you’re a new client, or you’re returning to me having not been for a while, you’ll need to book your first appointment online.

My booking system allows you to see all of my availability for the next 4 weeks and book yourself in. No need for texting back and forth, it’s really that simple! You’ll immediately get an email confirming the date and time, and you get a text message reminder 48 hours before your appointment.

If nothing is showing online as available then I’m fully booked, but you can add yourself to my waiting list and you’ll be notified of any last minute cancellations.

Once you’re actually here, at the end of your appointment you’ll have the opportunity to book ahead as far as you like directly with me, so bring your diary and be organised to secure the ideal day and time for you!

Hi, I'm Kris, owner/operator at Wicked Wax and intimate waxing perfectionist. I've specialised in Brazilian and Hollywood waxing for women for 9 years now.

I work in my beautiful, bright and clean, private home salon in Burscough. It's air conditioned, with a waiting room, a toilet, drinks, free WiFi... everything you'd expect from any salon with the added bonus of plenty of free parking right outside my door, you'll never struggle to find a parking space!

I wax women of all ages, shapes and sizes, the only thing I'm bothered about if you're coming for a wax is that you're hairy enough.

I wear a variety of colourful uniforms (black looks dreadful on me). I'm a true crime podcast fan, a campervan chick, and I love reading, cooking and eating Anyone that's ever visited me for an afternoon appointment will be familiar with my number 1 question... "what's for tea tonight?".
