Blonde transformations like this don’t happen overnight.
This guest came to Eleanor after years of box dye, and together they’ve spent four appointments carefully lifting, toning and protecting the hair to achieve this soft, clean blonde while keeping the hair healthy throughout.
REF colour, soft toners, professional shampoos and styling products were used throughout the journey to help protect the condition, enhance the tone and finish with beautiful shine.
Next month she’ll be back for extensions, and we can’t wait to share the finished result.
This colour was created by Eleanor, who is now in the final stages of our Developing Talent programme. Seeing her confidence and technical ability grow with every appointment has been brilliant to watch.

Brightened up and full of dimension.
Eleanor took her time on this full head of highlights, layering tone and brightness while keeping the hair feeling healthy throughout. REF products used start to finish for protection and shine.
Finished with soft waves to catch the light.

Not all balayage appointments are about going brighter. Sometimes they’re about correcting warmth, softening old colour and bringing the hair back to life.
Cynthia had previous box dye and unwanted orange tones running through the hair and wanted something softer, cooler and more balanced.
Eleanor carefully worked through the darker areas with balayage placement to lift away warmth before toning with ash tones to neutralise unwanted orange and create this soft beige blonde finish.
Hair health was the priority throughout. We used REF products during the service to help protect condition, maintain shine and support the long term health of the hair because beautiful balayage should still feel healthy and wearable.
A softer, healthier result with longevity in mind.
Thank you to Cynthia for trusting Eleanor with the process and for being such a pleasure to have in the salon.

Sometimes the biggest transformations are not about going dramatically lighter or darker overnight.
They are about creating a realistic plan that protects the hair and builds confidence back step by step.
For this guest, the challenge was blending naturally white regrowth whilst working carefully with finer, more fragile hair. Rather than chasing an unrealistic result in one appointment, Suzanne focused on creating a softer and more natural transition through carefully placed highlights and a gentler root blend.
The result is a softer overall appearance, reduced contrast through the regrowth and hair that still feels healthy and cared for.
One of the most important conversations in appointments like this is understanding that salon colour is only part of the journey. Maintaining tone, softness and condition at home is just as important, especially when hair is finer or more delicate.
That is why Suzanne recommended continued home care support using REF Stockholm products, including our colour and moisture masques, designed to help maintain shine, softness and overall hair health between visits.
Healthy hair. Realistic expectations. A colour journey built around condition first.

You don’t actually see many bobs on your feed. Not properly cut ones anyway.
There’s a reason for that.
A bob leaves nowhere to hide. The weight has to sit perfectly. The line has to stay clean. The shape has to move naturally and fall straight back into place.
Get it right and it looks effortless.
Get it wrong and the eye catches it immediately.
Suzanne created a soft inverted shape with internal layering to remove heaviness without losing that strong silhouette. The movement stays soft while the shape still holds beautifully from every angle.
For the colour we kept depth through the base using 7 and 8.31, then placed bleach highlights through the cut itself to break up density and bring dimension into the shape naturally.
Timeless hair will always stand out because the work underneath it is right.
