Ever wonder why we ask to perform an anatomy check for certain piercings?

The navel is a tricky piercing to heal, and not everyone has the anatomy to be able to support one - and this can lead to complications during the healing process, and potentially even total rejection. We will not pierce you simply because you want it done - we will perform all the necessary checks required for that piercing, and make a decision based on our extensive knowledge. In some cases, this will mean a refusal to perform that piercing as we believe the risk of it not working out on your anatomy is too high. This isn’t to say your anatomy is wrong or weird or broken in some way - ALL bodies are beautiful! It just means that we have to look at other options that WILL work for you.

Pictured is a fresh floating navel, performed by myself with a clear CZ bezel topper. I love floating navels! There are so many options for jewellery types, and even cute dangly chains or drop gems. These are a GREAT alternative to the traditional navel piercings we are used to seeing, especially for those who may not have the anatomy to support a standard barbell.

I’m sure there’s not a single person not aware there’s a heatwave currently going on - we are most certainly aware of it in the studio today! It is RED HOT here.

With that in mind, and knowing that the temperature is going to rocket again tomorrow, I would like to offer the opportunity to all clients currently booked in the chance to reschedule until normality resumes.
