**Important Update to Our Online Services**

Due to the introduction of the NHS Wales App, the eConsult service will be discontinued from **11 July 2026**.

We encourage all patients to download and register for the **NHS Wales App** to continue accessing online services, including:

* Booking and cancelling appointments
* Ordering repeat medication
* Viewing test results
* Accessing other NHS services

Following the closure of eConsult, online forms will remain available on our website for enquiries relating to:

* Sick note/Fit note extension requests
* Travel health enquiries
* Complaints and feedback
* Updating personal details

If you require assistance with downloading, registering for, or using the NHS Wales App, please speak to a member of our reception team.

**Please note:** This change applies to online services only. Patients who do not wish to use digital services can continue to contact the surgery by telephone to book or cancel appointments and to obtain test results.

We are unable to accept repeat medication requests by telephone. Medication requests should be made either through your nominated pharmacy, via the NHS Wales App, or in person at the surgery.

January 26 Practice Information - Please remember to cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend. We’ve noticed an increase in missed appointments which means availability will become more limited. By cancelling in advance, you allow us to offer your slot to someone who may really need it.

Please remember to cancel your appointment in plenty of time if you are unable to attend. This helps us offer the slot to another patient who may need it.

In February:
• 44 GP appointments were missed – equivalent to 3 full working days of a full-time GP
• 38 Nurse appointments were missed – equivalent to 1.5 full working days of a full-time nurse

🩺 Flu Vaccinations Still Available!

⚫ Eligible patients who have not yet received their flu jab are encouraged to book an appointment as soon as possible.

⚫ The flu vaccine is the best way to reduce your risk of serious illness this winter.

Flu cases jump sharply in England as NHS faces 'worst case scenario'

Dr Gaynor Penrose is at it again!

This year, as part of the Pont Big Give Christmas Challenge, Gaynor — along with a group of equally adventurous (and slightly mad!) volunteers — will be bivvying overnight in the Brecon Beacons on Friday 5th December 2025.

That means sleeping out under the stars… or the rain… or the hail… or even the snow, armed with nothing but a bivvy bag and a lot of determination!
