An extra level of calm and de-stress before you say ‘I Do’ I’m adding in a ten minute mini Weleda facial before every bridal make up. Sitting in the chair I will use the iconic skin food products to cleanse, tone, massage, and moisturise, giving us the perfect prep for make up. Starting with some box breathing I find this step is a welcome grounding point.

A fantastic few days learning the ‘Weleda way’ at the training centre, I will be incorporating this into my services going forward. Harnessing the power of plants has blown my mind, The Weleda team are amazingly knowledgeable and so lovely. Thank you for having me, its definitely cemented Weleda as one of my favourite skin care brands, expect to see a lot more of their products in my kit.

This make up is perfect because we knew all the steps, three things that can affect the outcome is:
1. Not prepping skin - Similar to painting over cracked plaster, adding make up to hide skin issues, ignoring the underlying problem, often makes it look worse.
2. Not selecting products for your age, skin type or finish preference- why are you trying to force a glowing foundation formula to be matte?
3. Cosmetics with conflicting ingredients- ever noticed ‘bits’ appearing on your face after adding two or more products? This is called pilling! Oil, water or silicone based products do not play nicely together, stick to one base ingredient.
