What you should NOT do before your nail appointment:
1. Don’t apply hand cream before your visit
Cream is good for daily care, but not before nails.
⸻
2. Don’t cut your nails
Your nail tech will shape them better.
⸻
3. Don’t remove or peel off the gel
This damages the nail plate.
⸻
4. Don’t do your own manicure before the visit
Don’t cut cuticles, don’t pick or push too much.
⸻
5. Don’t bite your cuticles or the skin around
It makes the work harder and affects the final result.

Cambridge CB58LA
Hello Cambridge❤️
So, I have a new nail tech in my studio — Tatiana, and I want to introduce her to you.
But first, I want to explain how I choose nail techs and what criteria I use.
I already have experience working with different technicians, and the first thing I always say — I don’t take beginners and I don’t take people straight after training for practice.
That’s a completely different story, not about working together — I’ll talk about that another time.
Now about the criteria and why I mostly work with Ukrainian nail techs.
First — the technique. The technique I work in is the same as Ukrainian technicians use. Differences can only be in shapes — that’s how each master sees them. But the manicure itself (cuticle work, removal), and the structure — it’s all the same.
Now imagine yourself as a client.
What if the technique was completely different, for example like in a Vietnamese salon?
Imagine that.
And now you book an appointment in my studio — and the technique is totally different.
Questions come up straight away, right?
Why is there no proper cuticle work?
Why is there no strengthening?
Or why is acrylic used and where is that strong smell coming from?
That’s exactly why in my studio everyone works in the same technique.
Same tool processing, same skin work.
This is called Russian / Ukrainian manicure — and it’s not about nationality or language.
It’s the “language” of technique: strengthening, nail structure, filing from underneath, and product applied very close to the cuticle.
And my new nail tech Tatiana has been working in this technique for 7 years.
Nice to meet you 🤍
Same technique, same result.

Why beautiful photos don’t guarantee the same result in real life
Photos are not reality
First reason:
Filters.
Your screen + the technician’s filters =
you’re already seeing a distorted image.
As a result:
— the colour may look different
— skin imperfections are hidden
— mistakes in the manicure are not visible
Second reason:
Angle.
The technician positions the hand
to make the work look максимально выгодно.
For example:
— you can’t see that the product isn’t close to the cuticle
— you can’t see the gap
But in real life, it’s obvious.
And after a week, it can already look like 2–3 weeks of growth.
Third reason:
Lighting.
Photos are taken in perfect lighting.
Shape, shine, surface —
everything looks better than it actually is.
Turn the hand slightly —
and the shape may already look uneven.
Fourth reason:
Photo and video editing.
Modern apps easily hide:
— uneven surface
— bulkiness
— defects
You simply won’t see it.
Fifth reason:
You’re not shown the “weak points”.
For example:
— the free edge
— thickness
— how the nail is refined underneath
This is only visible
with proper angles or unfiltered video.
And the most important 👇
A photo will never show
how long the manicure will last.
For example:
Short almond shape.
Looks beautiful in photos.
In real life — often lasts up to 2 weeks.
And the photo will never tell you that.
Conclusion:
A photo is just an image.
Real quality is technique —
and technique is often not visible in photos.

Here are my new shades 👇
I’ve collected almost every camouflage base shade you can imagine.
There’s even black, yellow, lots of beiges, and a soft spring lavender.
Now it’s much easier to find the right shade — for any skin tone and any design.
How to choose your shade?
The easiest way is to hold it next to your skin.
If there’s no strong contrast — that’s your perfect match.
If you want contrast (like pink or white),
then just check how natural and balanced it looks on your skin.
I invite you for French or ombré 🤍

And I’d really love your honest feedback 👇
I have a new nail tech in my studio, but she’s not a beginner.
Tell me honestly, how do you feel about this:
— would you book without hesitation?
— would you want to see more info or more work first?
— or, honestly, would you need a bigger discount to try?
You can say it as it is, no pressure 🙏
It really helps me improve things for you.
All nails in my studio are done using one technique — gel strengthening.
This technique creates a strong, structured base that protects your natural nails
and keeps the shape clean and stable.
Because of this, your nails last minimum 4 weeks.
Every technician in my studio works using the same technique
— so you always get consistent, high-quality results.
If your nails still don’t last,
it’s not your nails — it’s the technique.
Book your appointment and experience the difference.
If your nails don’t last — we will fix it.

This sick leave gave me a lot —
mainly understanding:
I sleep — but I’m not rested
I rest — but I’m not recharged
I work — but there’s no money
I start over — but end up in the same place
I take care of my health — but it’s getting worse
And I still don’t understand where I’m losing myself
And maybe the problem isn’t in what I do
You’re not alone 🤍
Guess who’s most embarrassed to come for a pedicure?
And at the same time — who actually needs it more than others?
Men. Yes, really.
Men come for pedicures or to a foot health practitioner much less often,
even though they’re actually in the higher risk group.
Why?
Because their lifestyle often includes a lot of pressure on the feet —
sports, physical work, being on their feet a lot.
Plus, men usually sweat more,
and that directly affects the skin and nails.
So let’s break it down — why don’t they come?
First reason — how it’s seen.
For a long time, pedicure was just about looks:
nice nails, polish, making feet look pretty.
But now it’s not just about that.
Feet and nails are part of your health,
just like your teeth.
They need care too, and sometimes treatment.
Second reason — fear of judgement.
Before, when men cared more about their appearance,
it was often judged.
Now it’s changing,
and these things are becoming normal.
Third reason — environment.
For women, it’s normal: friends go, it’s part of routine.
For men, usually there’s no one around them
who goes regularly.
So it’s harder to take that first step.
And let’s be clear — this isn’t really about “pedicure” anymore.
Even though we still use that word.
This is about prevention.
It’s about coming in, checking your feet,
treating calluses, thick nails,
and getting advice if you need it.
It’s basic care, not just aesthetics.
And I’m really curious about this.
Men, women — tell me:
do you actually feel embarrassed?
And what’s stopping you from at least coming for prevention?
Be honest —
who comes on their own,
and who gets dragged in by a wife or girlfriend?
Are you embarrassed or not?
Or am I wrong?
From our side, as foot health practitioners —
it’s 100% support and 0% judgement.
We’re actually proud of you.
We admire you.
You’re doing great — you’re our heroes.
How to choose the right camouflage gel?
Camouflage gel is not a colour gel.
It’s a semi-transparent product with a slight tint that adapts to your natural skin tone and nail base.
That’s why choosing from a photo is a mistake.
The same camouflage gel looks different on different hands.
Why does this happen?
Final colour =
skin tone + nail undertone + camouflage gel
If the shade doesn’t match your skin, it may look too pink, too yellow, or too light.
How to choose a camouflage gel for your skin tone:
Take a tip with the shade you like and place it against your nail
Check the colour in the bottle and on the brush
Apply it on your nail — make sure it’s the right shade, then cure it
Important:
On a tip, the colour will always look different because it’s transparent, while your natural nail is not.
The most accurate way:
Apply the camouflage gel directly on your nail — this is the real result you’ll get.

Want the honest cost of a manicure? 👇
Each client is not just “a set of nails”.
It’s a combination of consumables, products, and real costs.
Let’s start with single-use items:
— dust wipe
— gloves
— mask
— cuticle stick
— nail file
— buffer
— lint-free wipes
— sterilisation pouch
All of this is used for every client.
Next — products that are also consumed over time:
— antiseptic
— nail prep / dehydrator
— cuticle oil
— bases (rubber / strong / French base)
— colour
— top coat
You don’t use a full bottle at once,
but it decreases with every client.
Now tools:
— nippers and scissors
(maintenance and wear, 1–2 years lifespan)
— removal bit (3–6 months)
— cuticle bit (15–20 clients)
Plus:
— brushes
— dust brush
And finishing care:
— hand scrub
— hand cream
⸻
And that’s not all.
The cost also includes:
— technician’s salary
— rent
⸻
This is the cost price — and this is what the final service price is built on.
Only after that is the final price formed.
That’s why a manicure is not “just painting nails”.
