Happy 20th Anniversary to these two.

20 years ago, I had my very first ever bridal makeup job (pictured) and somehow, here we are!

What started with one bride has turned into two incredible decades of making brides feel beautiful, confident and completely themselves on one of the most special days of their lives.

I’ve been so lucky to meet the most wonderful women, hear their stories, share their excitement and be trusted with such an important part of their wedding day.

Here’s to 20 years of bridal makeup… and hopefully many more beautiful brides to come! 🥂

When the Bride decides to wear a red wedding dress. Why follow tradition when you can make your own!

Tip to even skin tone: to cover facial redness you can use a green colour correcting primer to neutralize the pink tones first. Then, apply a lightweight, creamy concealer in thin layers only where needed to avoid a heavy, cakey finish.

It’s been so hot this Summer here are a few ideas to keep your makeup from melting!

Swap heavy liquid foundations for a tinted moisturizer.
Lock cream blush or bronzer by dusting a powder lightly on top.
Setting and Maintenance, you can press translucent powder gently into areas prone to oil and sweat, like the T-zone and under-eyes.
Finish with a long-lasting setting spray. I love Urban Decay All-nighter.

This week was bridal makeup at Sally’s wedding at sheenemill for herself and her daughter. The Sun was shining and the atmosphere was fun!

I used a brightening serum first and then I used Iconic Underglow Blurring Primer that brilliantly primes, preps, minimises the appearance of pores and helps to blur imperfections. The skin looks flawless and refreshed ready for the next step in the makeup routine.
