Created by a former therapist, salon owner, and beauty industry commercial manager, the brand was born from a personal journey through burnout and a desire to make emotional well-being part of everyday life. We craft mindful rituals and objects of quiet beauty - from skincare to home fragrances -designed to help you pause, soften, and reconnect with yourself. Blending Danish hygge with the French art de vivre, our products focus on sensory comfort, minimalist design, and meaningful daily moments. I ordered from Lykke & Lumen for the first time and honestly, the whole experience just felt… different. The website was really calming and easy to shop, and my order arrived quickly, but it was the unboxing that got me. Everything was so beautifully wrapped - simple, minimal, but really thoughtful. It actually felt like I had bought myself a gift rather than just another skincare product.
There was also a little handwritten note in my order, which I didn’t expect at all, and it made it feel really personal. Such a small touch but it genuinely made me smile.
Even the packaging felt intentional, not overdone or wasteful, just calm and elevated. You can tell this brand really cares about how you feel, not just what you buy. It made me slow down for a minute, which is kind of rare. I’ll definitely be ordering again.

When I launched Lykke & Lumen earlier this year, I had a simple hope - to create products that would bring a little more calm, comfort and care into everyday life.
What I hadn't quite anticipated was just how much joy I would find in hearing from the people who have welcomed our products into their daily rituals.
Reading your lovely reviews, hearing how your skin feels, how a fragrance makes you feel, or how a product has become a cherished part of your routine - these are the moments that make everything worthwhile.
Building a small independent brand takes an enormous amount of love, determination and belief. And whilst there are certainly challenges along the way, your kind words are such a wonderful reminder of why I started.
So today, I'm sharing just a few of the lovely reviews we've received, and taking a moment to say a heartfelt thank you.

There’s something about autumn that makes me crave a little more hygge. 🤍
Hygge is a Danish word that doesn’t have a perfect English translation, but it’s really about creating a feeling of warmth, comfort and contentment through simple everyday moments.
A candle lit as the evening draws in.

A little more time to simply be.
That feeling is exactly what inspired Pause.
Its fragrance opens with apricot, bergamot, fig leaf, frankincense and clove bud, before moving into a heart of tea leaves, neroli, saffron and suede, then settling into a soft, comforting base of coconut milk, sandalwood and tonka.
Warm, gently spiced and cocooning, Pause was created to bring that sense of calm and comfort into the everyday.

Such a lovely couple of days introducing Lykke & Lumen to so many new faces, chatting about the products, sharing the story behind the brand and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere at Euston Hall.
There’s something very special about meeting people in person and seeing them discover the scents, textures and little comforts I’ve spent so much time creating.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, had a chat, tried something new or took a little piece of Lykke & Lumen home with them. It really does mean so much to a small independent brand.

After months of fragrance development, wax testing, wick trials, vessel decisions, packaging tweaks and more testing than I ever imagined… our Lykke & Lumen scented candles are now live on the website.
This collection has been such a labour of love, created to bring a little more calm, comfort and beauty into the everyday.
Meet our three signature scents:

Inspired by the Danish art of hygge. A soft, grounding fragrance made for slowing down, softening and simply being.
SEL NORDIQUE — Fresh · Uplifting · Airy
Inspired by the purity of the Nordic coastline — fresh sea air, driftwood and a feeling of space and openness.
CALME DE SOIE — Soft · Sensual · Cocooning
Soft as a sigh. Sensual as silk. A warm, intimate fragrance designed to envelop you in softness.
Each candle is hand-poured in small batches, made with natural rapeseed and coconut wax and finished with a wooden wick for that gentle, comforting crackle.

What a beautiful setting for a new Women in Business Network group. Lanwades Hall is absolutely stunning, and it was wonderful to spend the afternoon surrounded by such a warm and inspiring group of women.
I was also so happy to have a little touch of Lykke & Lumen on the tables and to be able to share the brand and our products with everyone there. Seeing something I created sitting in such a beautiful setting still feels rather special. ✨
One of the things I’ve loved most since starting Lykke & Lumen is the community I’ve found along the way - meeting other women building businesses, sharing ideas, supporting one another and genuinely wanting to see each other succeed.
A huge congratulations to Rachel and everyone involved in bringing WIBN Newmarket to life. What a wonderful first meeting - I think this is going to be a very special group. 🤍
