Please can our clients set off early for their appointments. The roadworks & temp lights next to the shop, are causing absolute bedlam.

Friendly notice.
Due to an increase regarding withheld numbers calling our shop to either give us abuse, calling to say stupid things (sometimes relentlessly on repeat) and sometimes degrading and disgusting things about our female barbers, we have upgraded our landline to not accept any withheld numbers calling the shop going forward.
Therefore, if any of our clients are ex directory/have their phones set to hide their number, unfortunately your call won’t come through to us anymore.

It’s a shame we have to do this, as a small independent and local business we merely want to be able to go to work, do our jobs and not to deal with this kind of thing but unfortunately it’s came to this.

As a side note: think before you relentlessly pester a business like this.
Behind these businesses are normal human beings, just trying to make a living.
Its easy to be desensitised in this day and age but none of us ever know what somebody may or may not be going thru in their personal lives, and you could very well be a tipping point to somebody one day.

💈 A Message to Our Valued Clients

Since 2023, small businesses across the UK have been hit hard by rising costs — and barbershops are no exception. Like everyone else, we’ve faced higher household expenses, but on top of that, the average barbershop has seen overall costs rise by 10–30% in just two years.

Here’s what that looks like when categorised:
• 💡 Commercial energy costs are up by around 30–40%
• 🏠 Insurance, rent, and business rates have increased 10–20%
• ✂️ Supplies and equipment have risen 10–15%

Last year, we absorbed as much of these increases as possible to avoid passing them on. However, to continue providing a safe, hygienic, and high-quality environment — and to ensure our barbershop remains sustainable for the long term — we now need to make modest adjustments at the lowest end of those % increases, to our service prices.
