In 2017, 5,821 people committed su***de which on average is 16 people per day. This year on my birthday (16th May) I will be walking 16 Miles around Talkin Tarn, that’s one miles for every person (on average) who takes their life due to a unfortunate battle with Mental Health. I am doing this to not only raise money for this amazing charity but to raise more awareness. Mental Health should be spoke about more. Each and every donation goes towards saving someone’s life. £8 could pay for a trained volunteer to write an email response to someone struggling to cope alone. £19 could answer 4 calls for help from people in crisis. £46 could train and support an existing Samaritans volunteer for a year. Every little counts.
