To all of my wonderful salon guests …

Much consideration has gone into the following words, words that are hard to say yet feel so right at this time, and a decision I hope you will be able to celebrate with me.

After careful consideration I have made the very difficult decision to sell Laurel House, this will also include the end of my wonderful time as a hair stylist for all my loyal and wonderful clients, and when I say hair stylist, I also mean friend, therapist, secret keeper, agony aunt, a person who gets to share all the best times with you, as well as the sad, because being a hairdresser is so much more, and has meant so much more than you can ever begin to imagine over all these years and I cherish and appreciate every single person, past, present, and anyone who has supported my business in any way, I will always be grateful for you all.

Although the decision does come with great sadness in the sense I will miss my work and my clients dearly and it will be the end of an era in many ways, I’d like you to know it also comes with a sense of happiness, and knowing the time feels right for me. I am simply a person too, and I feel ready to dedicate this next chapter of my life to my family, as they have supported me throughout my wonderful career and allowed me to do what I love for so many years. Now it’s my time to fully immerse myself with them, to enjoy them and cherish these next years, because time is so precious and certain things I’ve been through have taught me this all to well, so I want to make the most of it.

I hope you will all support me in this life changing decision and know that I will still be working until the sale of Laurel House, but I wanted nothing more than to be open and honest about my plans.

I will of course speak to everyone individually, but it felt right to do a post to reach as many people as I can first.

I can’t thank you enough for everything we have shared, and please know I am content in my decision and I only hope you can share this happiness with me.
