Skin tags are typically found on the neck, under arms, inner thigh and the bra line. But they can also be found on the face, on the eye area, bikini line and other areas. This one was on the inside of the elbow.

Skin cancer awareness post

Please don’t ignore changes to your skin. 💛

Just a couple of months ago I noticed a mark on my m**s arm that looked very suspicious. I took a photo and sent it to the GP- a Dermatoscope was sent out quickly so I could take a much clearer photo for the dermatologist.

She was referred to the dermatology department, where the mole was removed with a small margin of surrounding skin.

The results came back as Stage 1B melanoma. Thankfully, it was found at an early stage.

Her next step is to have a wider margin removed from her arm and for her lymph nodes to be checked, to make sure the melanoma hasn’t spread.

This has been a reminder to our family that early detection really does save lives.

Please check your skin regularly. If you notice a mole or mark that is new or changing in size, shape, or colour, don’t put it off—book an appointment with your GP.

We’re sharing this in the hope it encourages even one person to get something checked.

💛 Early action can make all the difference.

Here is a close up using advanced electrolysis to treat thread veins on the face.

Thread veins are so easy to treat and disappear in seconds. Kerry & Jenny both have a level 4 qualification in blemish removal so you are in safe hands.

Advanced electrolysis (also known as Advanced Cosmetic Procedures or short-wave diathermy) is a safe, non-surgical treatment that uses a tiny, sterile probe to send a controlled burst of heat into specific skin blemishes, such as skin tags, age spots, and thread veins. The heat cauterizes or lifts away the targeted tissue so it dries up and flakes off naturally.

To treat skin-tags we use a ultra-fine, sterile metal probe directly into the base of the skin tag.

The probe delivers a small, controlled amount of heat. The heat instantly cauterises the tissue and cuts off the blood supply feeding the skin tag.
