As many of my clients know the past 2 years with the lockdowns has gave me a lot of time to think and reflect on my career and business. In August 2020 I made the decision to go back into education and I enrolled on an access to health course. I worked incredibly hard on the course and passed it with the grades I needed to be able to go to university.

A career in nursing is something that has always been in the back of my mind that I thought about back when I was 16. Since becoming pregnant and having my son, it has confirmed to me that midwifery is route that I want to go down. I would be privileged to support and care for women and families at such a important time in their lives.

I am starting a new venture into healthcare, as a midwifery care assistant. This is going to open up so many opportunities for me and will help me on my path to study midwifery at university.

As of August, I will be starting my new job and will no longer be working in the salon, this is a hard decision and I have not taken it lightly, however I do not want to commit to working in the salon alongside this at the moment as I will be doing more hours and night shifts etc. This may change but at the moment I will be closing my appointment book.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thankyou to all my amazing, lovely, wonderful clients that have supported me over these past few years. The relationship between therapist and client is a very special one and I feel very privileged to have shared so many conversations, laughs, tears and moments with you all.

The past 10 years working in the beauty industry have been brilliant, I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am today without all the experiences I have had and all people I have met. But now it is time for me to start my new venture.

My last working day in the salon will be Friday 29th July. All my days are on the app up until then, if I end up working later into august I will pop this up on my page.

My other half has been complaining about his skin for ages. He said it felt rough, looked flaky & was concerned with congestion around the nose area.

I opted for The GL Bespoke Skin Treatment in which I gently peeled the skin with the ultrasonic actuator, followed by Dermaplanning ( I avoided the beard area) and I finished off with some blue light therapy and popped on an intense serum & moisturiser. (Normally I would put a mask on but we were on a time limit).

What a difference in his skin already! it is a little bit red which will go down in a few hours. He went to the shop on the way home and got asked for ID I wonder if that was down to my skin treatment?! 🤣

Please note as from tomorrow there will be a small price increase on some services that I offer. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my wonderfully loyal clients that have supported me on my journey.

This is the first price increase since I opened my business is 2018. It has become necessary due to increasing business costs, including overheads involved in making the salon covid protected.

I greatly appreciate your support and hope that you understand the need to implement the increase. Treatment prices are available to view on the Fresha booking app.
