What Is a Muscle Knot?
Ever felt a tight, sore spot that just won’t go away?
That’s what we call a muscle knot
(or trigger point).
It’s a small area where muscle fibres stay contracted instead of relaxing properly — almost like the muscle is “stuck.”
👉 This can cause:
• Local tenderness
• Stiffness
• Pain that spreads to other areas
• Reduced movement
Over time, these knots build up from things like:
💻 Sitting too long
🏋️ Overuse or training
😴 Poor posture
😖 Stress & tension
Regular massage can help release the knot, improve blood flow, and restore movement 🙌
If you’ve been feeling tight or sore, your body might be telling you something.
Slow down, reset, recover.

Why you might feel sore after a massage!
A little tenderness after your treatment is totally normal - especially if it’s been a while since your last session. Here’s why:
1️⃣ Muscles are being worked
Massage gently stretches and stimulates muscles, breaking up tension and adhesions. This can feel like a mild workout the next day.
2️⃣ Increased circulation
Blood flow to the tissues improves, which can leave muscles more sensitive temporarily - it’s your body healing and flushing out toxins.
3️⃣ Nervous system adjustment
Your body is moving from a state of tension to relaxation. Sometimes, that transition creates temporary soreness.
4️⃣ Delayed onset muscle response
Much like after exercise, muscles may feel tender as they recover and release stored tension.
Massage Aftercare 🤍
To get the most from your treatment:
• Drink plenty of water
• Stretch gently
• Keep movement light
• Use heat compression for tightness
(or ice if tender)
• Rest and sleep
Mild soreness can last 24–72 hours — this is normal and part of the healing process ✨
If anything feels unusual, always let your therapist know 💆♀️💆♂️
Thank you
