Same hair. Completely different vibe.

My client wanted to say goodbye to those warm, golden tones and hello to something lighter, cooler and beautifully blended.

The goal? A softer, more balayage-inspired finish with dimension, brightness and a seamless blend from root to tip.

No harsh lines. No block colour. And definitely no flat, one-dimensional blonde!

Using carefully placed foils, we lifted through the warmth while keeping enough natural depth to give that gorgeous, lived-in balayage effect.

Because going lighter doesn’t always mean going blonde all over. Sometimes it’s all about WHERE you place the blonde. 🤍

A cooler, softer, more expensive-looking finish — without compromising the condition of the hair.

27 years behind the chair has taught me many things…

That the best colour isn’t always the lightest colour.

That sometimes saying “no” is the best thing I can do for your hair.

That healthy, shiny hair will always beat compromised hair for the sake of a trend.

That a consultation is probably the most important part of your appointment.

That no two heads of hair should ever get exactly the same formula, placement or plan.

That trends come and go — but knowing why you’re doing something never goes out of fashion.

And probably the biggest one…

Experience isn’t about thinking you know everything.
It’s knowing there is ALWAYS more to learn.

After 27 years, I’m still learning. Still evolving. Still investing in my craft. Still getting excited about a beautiful blonde, a colour correction or completely transforming how someone feels when they look in the mirror.

I don’t just want your hair to look amazing when you leave my chair.

I want it to still be amazing weeks later.

That’s what 27 years behind the chair has taught me. 🖤

She came in with long hair, showed me her inspo and was ready for a proper change… ✂️

And THIS is why I love cutting hair.

We took away the length, created a soft, beautifully shaped bob, added movement through the layers and finished it with that sweeping fringe to frame the face.

The goal was never to copy the picture exactly — because your inspo needs to work with your hair, your density, your face shape and how you’ll actually style it at home.

Inspo is the starting point.

See those tiny little hairs sitting below the baseline in the first photo?

They’re the difference between a haircut that’s done… and a haircut that’s FINISHED.

Once the hair is dried, straightened and sitting naturally, I check the entire perimeter again. Because no matter how carefully it’s cut wet, the dry hair tells the truth.

Those few millimetres might look insignificant — but cleaning them up gives you that sharp, thick, healthy, expensive-looking finish.

And absolutely NO, I’m not just going to leave them because “you’d never notice.” 😂
