Life has brought some big changes for our family recently, and I wanted to share something personal with you all.

Many of you know our daughter, Savannah, who has recently come home from university. Over the last 3 years, Savannah has begun transitioning and is now Jasper.

Like many families, it’s been a journey for all of us. We’ve had to learn, adjust and grow together, and we’d be lying if we said it hasn’t been emotional at times. But through it all, one thing has become so clear… we just want Jasper to be happy.

Seeing him happier, more comfortable in himself and looking forward to the future means more to us than anything else. That’s what life is all about.

We’re absolutely loving having Jasper back home, and you’ll probably see him bobbing in and out of the salon from time to time. As his transition continues, we’d really appreciate everyone using his name, Jasper, and he/him pronouns going forward.

I’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to those I’ve already confided in. Your kindness, support and understanding have meant the world to us. We feel incredibly lucky to have such amazing people around us.

Here’s to new beginnings, supporting the people we love, and making sure everyone has the chance to be exactly who they are.
