This page is to advertise my local business "Sweeneys" Barbers Shop, Ladies Salon Sweeneys is celebrating 35 years of service on the garrison this year!
We welcome the whole family with our joint barbers/hairdressers/beauty rooms situated opposite Princes Gate shopping park on the main Richmond Road. We allow for both walk-ins and appointments on the barbers side. On top of this, we re a certified autism friendly service thats keeping high covid standards with our new socially distanced waiting room big enough for pushchairs, wheelchairs, and walking frames. On Wednesdays we celebrate our OAPs (Over 65s), welcoming them in for discounted gents cuts at £6 and discounted prices for ladies too, depending on the cut. We here at Sweeneys can't wait to get to know you.

So today this happened- so proud of this little man! He has been growing his hair for the last 2 years to get it this length! It’s not the easiest to look after and it’s been a bit trying at times. Today he had his hair cut ready for starting secondary school next week and he is donating it to charity. It will be used to make wigs for children who have lost theirs due to accident or illness. It was quite an emotional moment for him and he’s not a big fan of hairdressers. We have to say a huge thank you to Andrea from Sweeneys Hair Salon in Catterick who was totally amazing! We love his new hair and thank you so much for being so kind and patient with him. Zac here was growing his hair for going on three years with the goal to cut it for charity. When he visited our shop and told us how he'd raised 1,600 so far for the Prince's Trust charity we fell in love with his story. Using the hair that Andrea cut off yesterday, Zac is providing many children undergoing chemotherapy the chance to have a wig made for them as well as all the money he's raised.
