It is with a heavy, but thankful heart- we announce that Gatley Refillery will close at the end of March- 28.03.2024.

What began as a fleeting idea during a frantic mid 2020 lock down panic, Gatley Refillery developed into the most incredible beacon of hope and wholesome comfort to so many.

Almost 4 years on, it's time to pack up our refill pumps. It's a very unsettling time for independent business, and we feel now is the time to refocus our energy on our strengths (more on this below!). We also feel incredibly lucky that this temporary "pop up" business has made it this far, since its humble beginnings.

Here are just some of our highlights from our journey:

🌟 We've served our customers over 10,000 litres of liquid refills! Meaning even more thousands of single use plastic bottles saved from processing/ landfill. This was our number one goal from the outset & we feel this is one of our greatest achievements 🏅

🌟 Gatley Refillery gave the local community somewhere to venture to when most other shops were closed in 2020/ early 2021 and when we couldn't see our friends. We supported each other with words of encouragement, funny stories from our day, and were there for each other. I (Katie) will never forget the kind words from you guys who came to visit back in those very dark, scary days. You made me feel like I wasn't alone & I truly am forever grateful 💛

🌟 We have planted over 8 HUNDRED trees with Ecologi. 800 trees! We are so proud of this, and know that the impact of this will carry on long after we have closed- which makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside 🥰

🌟 In March 2021 I won a prestigious industry award from the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC) for "Best Business Pivot During COVID Crisis". This little refill shop not only helped save the workplace for the Love Beauty Gatley team, but quite literally picked me up off the ground when I felt like I had lost everything (including my mind!).

🌟 We've met hundreds of like minded customers who want better for the world and better for their health. So many of you have made sustainable changes at home and helped spread the word about the impact of collective small changes.

We are going to miss the familiar regular faces we see, and cannot thank you enough for your incredible support not only for Gatley Refillery but championing better choices, and taking action to lower your environmental impact.

We know you'll carry on, and if you need help looking for somewhere else to do your eco-shopping, send us a DM and we can point you in the right direction!

This won't be the last you'll see of us, of course!

🤍 Emma will continue working at the salon throughout March in the same capacity, helping you with those last refills (and your *clearance* purchases!). Her role will then transition to focus on reception, and more time dedicated to her Holistic Therapies she offers at Love Beauty Gatley.

🤍 I will be continuing to see my clients at the salon which I love, alongside training via Love Beauty Academy and enjoying more time to focus on my Northern Glimmer Candle making!

We're having a sale/ clearance on the website and in store, any last purchases will help us massively- so please stock up where you can- we have 25%-70% off clearance lines!

In-store refills are available on a first come first serve basis at 50p/100ml, these aren't available to order online as trickier to keep track of (we will keep you updated of what's left!).

*Some good news*- you will still be able to shop UpCircle, Spacemasks & Northern Glimmer via Love Beauty Gatley going forward- these are not included in our sale.
