THE NOURISHING HAND RITUAL

Wednesday 11th November 7pm-8:30pm

An intimate, hands-on masterclass held at the Main House at Mimosa Beauty, Chelmsford

As we head into winter, our hands are often the first place to show it.

Cold weather, central heating, constant washing and everyday life can leave hands feeling dry, tight and neglected - so for November, we’re giving them some proper attention.

Join me around the table for a practical, nourishing hand treatment that combines skincare, nail and cuticle care, massage and hand reflexology.

This isn’t a traditional manicure and you don’t need beautifully polished nails to come along. It’s about learning how to properly care for the skin, nails and cuticles while creating a simple ritual you can repeat at home throughout winter. We wont be touching our nails themselves so gel, painted or naked nails are completely fine.

One of the main questions I get asked in the salon is 'How do I layer my skincare?'. The principle is thin to thick, but here's what I would use right now, and in what order.

To cleanse, it has to be Louise Thomas or Medik8 Lipid Cleansing Oil

For serum, I like two, which can be used individually or layered. The Balance and Clear by Louise Thomas and/or Illumine Stem Cell from Revival

Next is your oil; the Affirmative Oil by Jane Scrivner is my current favourite, but I also love Uncondition and Skin Elixir

Then on to moisturiser, the OO cream by Jane Scrivner is such a great all-round moisturiser, packed with benefits while still being gentle.

And finally, SPF, the Clinicare tinted SPF is perfect for offering protection while also giving you a little bit of glow and radiance.
