Beauty and the Brows

My name is Tracy and I am a semi-permanent makeup artist from Essex. I have been a makeup artist for over 25 years and I trained makeup for 12 years at MAC Cosmetics. I've been all over the world and have always enjoyed making people feel and look amazing. Now that I’ve gotten older, I realise that the less amount of time I can spend getting ready, the better! I expanded my repertoire to permanent makeup and love the look of natural beauty because to make anyone look like a better version of themselves is a win! In my younger days, it was all about the makeup and how far I could take it to make a statement or that 'wow factor'. I've always been infatuated with symmetry, colour theory, and pushing facial feature anatomies with makeup. These days, I focus my attention to more natural looks. In my opinion, an effortless makeup enhances the beauty we were all born with. That said, makeup that takes less time to do in the morning amongst everything else, is a winner! Most women spend between 5-10 minutes doing their makeup. Some do it on the train or the tube because there just isn't enough time in the morning. Here are some comments my clients have made:

"I had my eyebrows done by Tracy and I'm absolutely in love with them. This was my first experience with any cosmetic tattoo but I was recommended by a friend. The pain was minimal, more uncomfortable then anything! They are all healed now and I love being able to roll out of bed and in to work! I often get compliments that I look nice when I'm not wearing makeup and I owe it all to the brows! I will definitely be back for more once these start to fade." I was immediately thrilled with the results. After an hour, the numbing cream wore off and the white line around each brow disappeared. I thought there would be a lot of redness and soreness, but there wasn't (just a minor amount of discomfort). For the next week I had to avoid getting them wet and after the first ten days, the colour will lighten about 50 per cent as the skin heals. The ink doesn't turn green (unlike the stuff used a few years back, which was actual tattoo ink). That means when it fades, it won't change colour. The result? The subtlest hint of colour that emphasises your eyebrows in a way I have never been able to achieve with a pencil. If I could get back, I would do it all over again!
