What an incredible few days at CCR London 🤍

I had the absolute pleasure of exhibiting and talking all things Rebecca Mackay Aesthetics Training Academy | L7 | V300 | Essex, alongside the most amazing team. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better people to share the experience with.

One of my favourite things about working in aesthetics is the community. Being able to meet so many people within our industry, connect with new faces, share ideas and knowledge, and catch up with fellow aesthetics professionals is something I never take for granted.

I’ve come home feeling so inspired and full of new ideas. Events like CCR remind me just how much I love this industry and how important it is to keep learning, developing and pushing ourselves to be the best practitioners we can be.

I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come as a medical aesthetics nurse, and I’m even more excited about what’s ahead. 🤍

When the weight comes off…

Losing weight can be an incredible achievement — but sometimes the changes you notice aren’t just on the scales. 🤍

As we lose volume, our skin can change too. You may notice:

✨ Less facial fullness
✨ Loose or lax skin
✨ Changes around the cheeks, jawline & neck
✨ Fine lines becoming more noticeable
✨ A change in overall skin quality

This can happen because weight loss reduces the underlying fat that once supported and filled the skin, while the skin itself may not immediately “bounce back”.

And if you’re experiencing this, you haven’t done anything wrong.

The focus doesn’t always need to be on adding volume back. Supporting collagen, improving skin quality and taking a personalised approach can sometimes be a much better place to start.

I honestly don’t think I can put into words what this means to me…

I am officially an Independent Prescriber. 🤍

When I started my aesthetics journey, I never imagined how much it would grow, or how much I would grow with it.

I’ve worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to get here. Studying, exams, assignments, long days, working as a nurse, running a business and being a mum to two boys… there have definitely been moments where I’ve wondered how I was going to fit it all in!

But I did it. 🤍

Becoming an Independent Prescriber is so much more than another qualification to me. It represents the next step in being able to provide my clients with the level of care, knowledge and clinical decision-making that I’ve always wanted Hannah Lucy Aesthetics to stand for.

Safety first. Natural results. Honest advice. Individualised treatment.

And most importantly, never treating someone just because I can.

Sometimes the best treatment is actually no treatment at all and having the knowledge and responsibility that comes with prescribing makes that even more important.

From my years as a nurse, to completing my Level 7 in aesthetics, and now becoming an Independent Prescriber…

I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come.
