This might be an unpopular opinion…I’ve been thinking a lot about AI recently and I really don’t like it…

I get it - it’s super easy and quick and can save a lot of time…but at what cost? What are the risks and consequences?

I learnt early on about the massive amount of water that the data centres processing all the AI information use on a daily basis…so I have limited my AI use…it’s been creeping up recently though.

Now it seems everywhere I look, AI is there - the invites, posters, leaflets…and the crazy thing is they all look the same!! The same soulless generic look, feel and language.

So I’m making a decision that feels right for my business ethos and for my soul - I will no longer use AI to create invites and posters or put my face (or anyone else’s) into AI platforms.

I may use it for back of house admin tasks, but that’s it.

I know it’s here to stay, but I think it needs to be used with care and consideration.

I’ve recently watched The Plastic Detox and it was terrifying… 😳

Like many people, I knew plastic pollution was a problem. What I didn’t fully appreciate was just how much plastic has made its way into our everyday lives — our food, our water, our homes, and even our bodies.

The documentary explores the growing concern around microplastics and the potential impact they may be having on our health and the environment. It’s one of those films that leaves you looking at everyday products very differently.

As someone who is passionate about choosing more natural skincare and reducing unnecessary chemicals where possible, it really reinforced why I pay attention to what I put on my skin and bring into my home.

I’m not about perfection (avoiding plastic completely is impossible!), but it did make me think about some simple swaps that could make a difference over time.
