Helping doggies isn't 'just a job' and of course I don't consider the sweet souls I meet as 'just dogs.'
They are sensitive, intelligent, loving beings.

For that reason you can't help but get attached to those dogs you see regularly.
Today I've heard the very sad news that one of my regulars, a beautiful black Lab called Floyd, has passed away at home this morning after an unexpected seizure. I saw him last Tuesday and he was due back on Wednesday.
He celebrated his 12th birthday recently. He survived against the odds, after surgery and chemo for an aggressive tumour on his hind leg when he was only three.
Dear Floyd has been coming to see me for fascia release for nearly two years. This past year he's been coming weekly. He was a beautiful soul and much-loved by his mum Wendy, dad Steve, 'brother' Fletcher and wider family. He couldn't have been better supported in recent years.
As we all know, it's heart-breaking for their humans when they have to leave us. Wendy and Steve are devastated and I know Fletch will miss his big 'brother' dreadfully, as will I.
Rest In Peace dear Floydy, you were an absolute joy to know and a beautiful soul.
I'm so glad I helped make you feel better and happier in your twilight years. ♥️😥🐾🐾💔
