🤔 Does scalp skin age faster?
The scalp is the fastest aging skin compared to any other skin on the body. It is known that the scalp ages 12 times faster than body skin and 6 times faster than facial skin.

Are you getting enough sleep? 😴 This can actually effect everyone, not just women at a certain age.

According to a recent study performed on healthy perimenopausal and menopausal women, the stress hormone cortisol was found to be much greater in women with poor sleep quality.

Increased cortisol levels can impact on the hair’s growth cycle, in particular shortening the anagen stage, known as the hair’s growing phase. This reduction in anagen could cause hair to look thinner, finer and become weaker. A lack of sleep could be having a greater impact on hair than we actually realise and may contribute to conditions such as telogen effluvium, androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata.
