This might be controversial 🤓
But how much of what we learn as lash artists comes from education... and how much comes from marketing?
Most of us follow lash brands.
We watch their tutorials.
We buy their latest products.
We trust them to guide us.
But sometimes I wonder...
Are strong foundations being taught...?
Or is it being encouraged to buy more products?
Every year there's a new trend.
A new technique.
A new "must-have" product.
A new shortcut that's supposed to save us time.
But if your fundamentals are strong, do you actually need half of these things?
The best lash artists I've met aren't necessarily using every new product on the market.
They're incredibly skilled at the basics.
Their styling is intentional.
Their application is clean.
Their retention is great.
And because of that, they're not constantly chasing the next thing.

How much responsibility should we give lash brands when it comes to our education?🤔
And how much responsibility should we take ourselves?
Are we building skills?
Or dependency?

🤓If you are using ⬇️ method to plan your sets......
Client wants...
Natural = C curl
Dramatic = D curl
❗️Then your sets will be dissapointing, for you and your client!
🎓If you are new to lashing or have been in the industry a while and you're not confident in styling OR you do give it a go but your sets dont come out the way you hoped then save this post as I have something coming that will help you create sets your clients will LOVE! 💕

From a young age, I’ve always been about the detail, from cutting up my clothes to make them my own and as Ive got older adding that 'Hayley twist' to show my individual style. This is also the reason I wanted to create a business, to give me the freedom to live life on my terms.

✨️The 3 mistakes I see a lot of beginner lash techs/artists make are the 3 things that can make the difference between a great set of lashes and an average set of lashes....
‼️Not covering 100% inner and outer lashes.....
Applying to these lashes make a set go from OKAY..to OMG!
💬MY ADVICE...... DO THESE FIRST✅️
‼️Using only 3 sizes......
Creating balance in a set is what sets the lash artist apart from the lash tech....WHICH DO YOU WANT TO BE..?
💬MY ADVICE......USE A MINIMUM OF 4 SIZES, 5 IDEALLY ✅️
‼️Using D curl for all sets.....
A fast sure way to ensure your sets look average but also guaranteed to be poor styling for most clients...
