Hair loss carries a mental load that I don’t think people fully understand until they’ve lived it…

It’s waking up and thinking about your hair before you’ve even started your day. It’s catching yourself in certain lighting. Avoiding the wind. Thinking about where you’re going to sit. Wondering if somebody is looking at your hairline when they’re talking to you.

It can quietly work its way into so many parts of your life.

So no, I’m not a neurosurgeon. I’m not saving lives. But I will never downplay the impact this work can have on one. Because I get to watch women walk through my door carrying all of that… and then watch something shift when they see themselves again.

The shoulders drop. The smile changes. And that little spark starts coming back into their eyes.

I know it’s “hair”.

But when you’ve spent years thinking about losing yours, getting it back can feel like getting a little piece of yourself back too.

And I don’t think I’ll ever stop feeling lucky that I get to be part of that moment🤍
